It was originally owned by Rank, who were taken over by Pavilion and called Farthing Corner. Pavilion later renamed it Medway. Pavilion was then bought by Granada who then became Moto and the site still remains a Moto today. It was once a very large and busy site, as the A2/M2 would have been the main route to Ports like Dover, but as time has gone on and the A20/M20 has become bigger, better and faster, the M2 has become quieter and this has seen the custom, and consequently facilities of this services reducing. As a result it now sports only a Costa as its main restaurant, supported by Upper Crust and Burger King. How the mighty fall!
