A fairly sizable MSA that was built by Granada (now Moto) in the mid 1990s, around the time when they were obsessed with building dome-shaped structures to house the eating area in - see Reading too. Stafford is Moto's second one side only site - the other being Burton in Kendal. Stafford, along with Tamworth, also used to house a Rock Island Diner - Granada's short-lived answer to the waitress service restaurant with a rock and roll theme. A concept now practiced by OK Diners on the roadside.
