Tell us all about your experiences of this service area.
Absolute nightmare of a place! As usual there are signs for different types of vehicle to direct you to parking, but if you follow the caravan signs they send you so far then disappear! You are left in a car area with nowhere to go except the wrong way into the coach bays which have threatening notices all over them. For goodness sake, put some sensible signs up! Despite our fatigue, we had to give up and go on to Oxford.
Chris Daniels, Mon 15 May 2017
Will the services be open on Christmas Day?
Peter McField, Fri 23 Dec 2016
Too many lorries parked in coach park late afternoon onwards. Although fantastic services and food I don't bring my passengers here because of lorry parking.. Oxford services much better

Do not use Top Gift Phone Shop. Had my cracked screen phone repaired there. Cost £90 and cracked fours days later. Without dropping it, or doing anything that should break a phone screen. They said they won't take responsibility. Which is fair enough as they don't know how it really broke but I know what happened. KEEP AWAY!

WARNING **TOP GIFT PHONE SHOP IS A SCAM** DON'T BUY FROM THEM!!

Stopped at Beaconsfield services for the first time. OMG what a choice of food outlets and the only services in the country to have a Nando's, Patisserie Valerie and a Wetherspoon's. Also other great brands including Dominos pizza, Mint leaves real Indian, Chozen Noodles, Carvery express, El Mexicana, Starbucks, KFC, McDonald's, M&S, WHSmith, Greggs. The most amazing rear patio with a wonderful lake and children's play area but most of all it was a very clean and friendly service area. I had a great time and will always go there when passing. 10/10
Sarah, Tue 11 Nov 2014
Highly recommend you stop at this services jus to try the food at mint leaves .great food ,great service & reasonably priced.10/10 for the fish curry.give them a try you won't be disappointed

Food choices excellent . Services are clean .However do not buy from the Top Gift shop for phones ect. The man has not a clue sold keyboard caae for Samsung .We questioned if it was for 10.1 he said yes .Got home it didn't fit and when plugging wire in ot popped and brokeMy son was left devastated aa he spent money his grandad gave him unfortunately his grandad died so he wanted to buy something sensible with the money £25 down the drain. ..

Lovely services, very clean , lots of food choices. Just a small grumble, I meet a friend there often late at night, every time we go they clean the floors about the same time, in doing this all chairs are on the tables, leaving virtually no place to sit. It would be beneficial to leave certain areas free as the place is still open for customers. Very pleasant there otherwise!

Visited recently to try out new Weatherspoon. Food was very good and service and staff very helpful as I was with disabled daughter.
The only minus was that the disabled loo on site was not radar key operated. It was disgusting and I could not use it and had to take my daughter to the ladies instead.
Please make the disabled loo radar key operated so it is used by the disabled.

I stay at the etap (now ibis) hotel 2-3 days a week on business, so i know this services well.
The hotel is very basic (& cheap) but it is always very clean & the staff are very friendly with excellent service. I feel safe & looked after, important as a woman travelling alone.
The hotel has a covered in link passage with the services meaning in bad weather you don't get wet!(you can only get back into the hotel by using your room key, a security feature i appreciate. access to hotel corridors is also key card controlled & reception has full view of all access.)
Starbucks is now open 24 hours, again it is clean & the staff are very friendly with excellent service. (in fact as someone who travels all over the UK, North west Europe in fact, I rate this Starbucks as one of the best for friendly accurate fast service.
WH Smith stocks a good range, KFC is fast & efficient, as is McDonalds. Its a lovely little M&S food, though not with the fastest service.
I have never tried the pasty place or the small services own brand type coffee/cake/Sandwhich place just behind it.
I don't like the own brand restaurant. I've slipped & fallen on unswept ford there once & I don't rate the food there.
I'm most likely to shop at M&S & starbucks & eat in my room.
The best UK services in my opinion, with a programme of improving facilities, even though it is still so new!

I stayed overnight at the etap hotel which is a budget hotel but served it's purpose. Breakfast the next day was lovely, hot and reasonable 6 items for 4.95 not bad at all.Dinner later was disappointing i had a jacket potato which was cold and the beans were luke warm but still eatable.overall this is a clean and friendly service station and i would use this service station again.
Mrs Curphey, Mon 16 Apr 2012
Walked in and found this services not very clean, toilets not great
phil, Thu 10 Nov 2011
Me and my mum had two of the nicest croissants we've ever tasted from the Pasty Presto this morning, they were 50p each cheaper than if we'd got them from LP4 as well, nice!
James Chapman, Wed 19 Oct 2011
Nice place to stop. Clean at rush hour.
Henry, Wed 14 Sep 2011
Toilets were very clean even when really busy. A good selection of food and drinks and shops. Will stop here again.
Nikki Vincent, Fri 26 Aug 2011
Stopped whilst on the way back home. Services were busy (being a Sunday afternoon) however staff seemed to be coping well, not an overly long wait for food at KFC and regular cleaning of tables taking place. Also light and airy, clean toilets as well.
JB, Sun 17 Jul 2011
Nice when it first opened a couple of years back, but going rapidly downhill. The caravan parking, as another reviewer noted, is a pityful afterthought, but worse, is located beside the local sewage pumping station, so depending on the wind, caravan parking is intolerable - an overnight stop is out of the question!!
Mike, Tue 19 Apr 2011
dont know from where these bad comments is coming from. i come here every day and its nice and clean, friendly staff and nice food. perfect place!!!
johnny, Wed 13 Apr 2011
Do they clean the toilets here? !shocking!
Stephen wells, Tue 12 Apr 2011
For a new services you can already see in a year or so it's going to be a dump, well done, this must be the way of running service stations these days. I wont be coming back
clair, Thu 31 Mar 2011

John Saunders, Thu 3 Mar 2011

Mike, Fri 17 Sep 2010
Second to non in my eyes, no pleasing some!
Tony Spalding, Sun 12 Sep 2010
Usual crap facilities like all the other motorway service areas
Barry Stone, Wed 1 Sep 2010
Drivers are always advised to 'take a break' whenever they feel tired, perhaps more important when driving commercial or towing a caravan. I recently stopped at the M40 Beaconsfield services and, following the signs for the caravan parking area, I found marked parking bays that can only be described as totally inadequate for any average size car and caravan. The spaces were two standard car parking areas joined end to end approx 35 feet long. My caravan alone is 25 foot! I was forced to park across the bays to avoid obstructing the roadways. Please can motorway service area operators provide adequate parking spaces for caravans thereby catering for all drivers.
Geoff B, Tue 27 Jul 2010
Excellent services. I have to visit quite a few & these are the best by a long, long way. Plenty of green stuff to let you walk a dog, massive parking area & excellent outdoor seating area. Also a plane spotters dream as its underneath the Heathrow flightpath (this could also be a bad point depending on your view).
Matt, Sat 19 Jun 2010
Visited for the first time today and I have to say I experienced the best Cornish pasty and coffee I have tasted at pasty presto. It is great to see something new on the motorway at last
Helen coltart, Fri 11 Jun 2010
I use these services alot, McDonalds IS 24hr from when they opened, KFC recently started staying open friday and saturday night till 5am. Best services i know.
Simon, Wed 3 Mar 2010
Amazing. The most luxurious-looking service station in the country IMO. Everything looks expensive, from the doors and toilets, to the plush Flat-screen TV's pumping out Sky News.
I can confirm the McDonalds is open 24/7/365 - so I don't understand what a previous commenter said here?
The only issue, is after about 11pm, McDonalds and the Shell petrol station (with shop) ARE the only things open. - Which seemed REALLY strange given it's enormous size and presence.
I can confirm WH Smiths, KFC, Starbucks and the operator restaraunt/cafe are all closed at night (after about 11pm)
*Despite being listed on this website, I can confirm there is NO Pizza Hut there*
Chris Ayers, Tue 12 Jan 2010
The cleanest services in the UK, great choice of food. Worth the stop

As a Beaconsfield virgin, I called in with my coach group as a novelty, and to change drivers. We pulled in at 11:30pm and, having given the group 20 mins for toilet and supplies, waited nearly an hour as they raided maccie D's. When the two staff saw us arrive they went for the shutters but the passengers kept them open, much to their chagrin. When I got my coffee and fries I was told that the outlet closes at midnight. This does not mean they stop serving a midnight, but the the staff have locked up and are walking out the door at midnight.Nothing else was open - surely it wouldn't take too much to keep the facilities open all night. Either through McD or Starbucks.Overall, the place was fine and I'll use it again.Final thing though ... can we have a bin in the coach park where we can put rubbish bags. We pride ourselves on clean coaches, but then have to leave our sacks around the normal bins. Most services have a commercial bin for us to use.

Visited for the first time yesterday. Very impressed. Good parking and good, clean facilities. Not overly crowded either. I would happily use this site again.
Andy Boyce, Thu 20 Aug 2009
The services themselves are fine, facilities good and so on, but, once again these are not really motorway services. They are really services on the A355 to Slough from the M40. Visiting going Southbound at 8.00 am is not recommended, there is a long queue on the slip road off, round the roundabout, then back round the roundabout back onto the M40.(The only services easy for access from the M40, on the M40, are Warwick)
Malcolm coghill, Wed 24 Jun 2009
Excellent services with fantastic choice and friendly staff. Well located for the London run. Ample parking and fuel pumps! - Good value food too, 2 meals for a tenner!!!!
Chris, Fri 29 May 2009
Very very very nice services. Clean, slick, well designed, amazing! Only downside is the only 24 hour service is the McDonalds & Petrol Station. WH Smiths/KFC etc are shut overnight.
Chris A, Wed 29 Apr 2009
Visited Beconsfield on 11/04/09 found the services to be clean, modern and well appointed, with a good selection of shops and plenty of parking, I would recommend it to everyone.
Jack Cordery, Sat 11 Apr 2009
Very good services. Great selection of shops and there's a nice lake there as well.
Oliver, Thu 9 Apr 2009
Visited recently, and, as a disabled traveller, was amazed to find not only a disabled loo, but one with a wet-area too, so that the traveller can have a shower without too many difficulties.
I didn't investigate if there was a charge for the service, but I would have willingly paid a couple of quid as the facilities were spotless.
Why can't others do this too?????
Irene Dunn, Wed 8 Apr 2009
Visited for the first time yesterday 6th April. Very pleasant experience. Good modern but tasteful design with a good atmosphere. Good selection of Shops, but obviously pricey, like most M-Way Services. Wooded surrounds make it a bit of an 'oasis'.Recommended.
