Access signs unreadable - very confusing entrance and exit. Very poor toilets. Chairs in dining area in need of cleaning. Why does the toilet cleaner have to clear tables as well as Costa staff? Will not stop there again.

Visited Blythe services and not impressed with the service in w.h.smiths at all. I was grunted at and it took all on for the girl who was serving me to smile . Feeling down anyway and that just made it worse

Huge thanks to Ernie from Costa for helping us find the nearest garage when we experienced a problem with our tyre on our way to York yesterday. He was so helpful we found the garage and were soon on our way again. Our lunch at Costa was also very good. People.like Ernie is what customer relations are all about.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS, IN PARTICULAR DO NOT BUY DIESEL (Ã‚Â£1-49.9 per litre). Having just travelled down from Scotland to Nottingham not one fuel station have I come across selling at such a high price!!!. On top of that the toilets were closed and we had to go back to the main services.Never again will I visit this site.

hgvs avvoied this servise station a all cost as u will get your tanks drained and curtains slashed and no cctv camras on lorry park you are payin to be robbed if you are stayin here at night what a servise staion

Had to call into this service for some diesel, got the shock of my life 148.9ppl, i was on my way up to A1 from Stansted to Wooler, Northumberland. Most A1prices are around 136ppl, but 149ppl is just screwing the motorist, if you can avoid this service then please do. I filled up at ASDA in Berwick the next day, i paid 128.9ppl, 20ppl difference..........

We stopped at Blyth Services as it is almost half way between Norwich and Newcastle. We were very disappointed by the service in the restaurant when ordering a cooked breakfast. There were long queues with hardly any food prepared. To cook to order on a busy Saturday morning is totally unacceptable. Would only stop at this service area to use the toilets.

Excellent services with Marks and Spencer, Costa and Burger King. I visit regularly and have never had any issues. Staff are generally friendly and service efficient even at busy times.

Toilets recently refurbed. Staff were friendly. Good choice of shops- Costa, BK, M&S etc. Overall a great place to stop.

I called into the services on Christmas Eve whilst traveling north for Christmas. The toilets were clean and tidy, I popped into Whsmith to get some drinks and the staff were friendly. I called at the Burger King to get some kids meals for my children, the staff were polite but to my children's disappointment the only toys available were not the ones we should of got, we receives crayons but with no colouring book and at Ã‚Â£4 a meal I expected a little better, although the manager with blond hair went out of her way to go and get my children some paper to colour on which put a smile on their faces, food was good and manager was helpful, down to earth and polite, great service over all.

warning to all hgv parkin up for night you might aswell put it in a laybye because your no safter at blyth servise staion has you have got no sercuraty look at the fence for a start then look for the yellow little cones. what say " the next trailer would be your last" basilcy you are paying to be robbed and your payin for it. and you stay more then 2hrs you will get a 80.00 fine through the post car van hgv

I visited the Blyth Service Station on the 8th March 2013 and had a very poor quality / luke warm meal at the Burger King outlet. The outlet was understaffed but the only person on duty serving was polite and trying to do his best. I made a complaint via the Burger King web site about the quality of their products and the following week received a call from the Blyth service station manger Ã¢Â€Âœshe said that they very sorry about the quality of the meal and would try and improve the level of service to customersÃ¢Â€Â. As goodwill gesture would send some vouchers Ã¢Â€Â“ that was 6 weeks ago.My advice would be donÃ¢Â€Â™t bother to eat there or make a complaint because you will not get a decent meal and any comments you may have will not be acted upon.

Called at Blyth Services on the way to Norfolk from Yorkshire and also on the way back. This is now a Costa Coffee site but there are no Costa signs at the entrance to the services. There is a Costa sign on the A1 South but none on the A1 North!! We had lattes and toast on the way to Norfolk and lattes and toasties on the way back. There is a large seating area and the staff were pleasant. The prices are, of course, inflated compared to High St. Costas but this is to be expected. There are not many toilets but they were clean and everything worked. Compliments to Blyth Services - shame that the Motorway Services site and motorway signs are not updated!

The highest premium prices with rock-bottom service. They make you queue for coffee then insult you by making you queue again to pay for it. If you are VERY lucky you may get to your table in the echo shed before your food gets cold. A real insult.I would only recomend this place to someone who is tired of owning money!

It was a very bad cervises with bad burger king staff especially a blondey. the coffee was nice but these girls tryed selling me some Ã‚Â£2 biscuits from the till wich i fort was rood. the coffee was amazing from costa coffee, recommend the espresso maxi as its big and tastyyyyyyy. Was a bit hot tho and burnt my tongue, i could not taste the Ã‚Â£2 buscuits i was bribed to buy. the hotel (travelloje) was horrid. they do not deserve a medal of any colour. or size.

Yesterday we stopped at Blyth on our return from holiday. My husband sustained a nasty injury from the exterior gate to the outside seating area and I felt I should inform the management as this presents a considerable hazard for children in particular. When entering the gate from the car park, one encounters on the right hand side a piece of metal sticking out about 3 inches which in my husband's case caused an deep cut which was very painful and bled all over the sleeve of his shirt. I hope you will be able to rectify this before any one else is injured. Many thanks.

We always stop here on the way to Norfolk to visit family from the North and have always found it a very pleasant and nice service area. Good coffee, the new M&S is great and there's a little WHSMITH shop and clean toilets. It's never that packed too which is nice - what more can you ask really?

I had to stop for refestment on along gourney. The stop was made very pleasent by the service I recieved at he BK the staff in the shop were very helpful. As I left the lady coming out of the M&S thanked me and said have a safe gourney. It is a long time since I have had this sort of service anywhere.

I visited on 20 January 2012 /you cannot select 2012 on this form.Service at Eat Drink Company was slow even though I was the only customer. No apology.My coffee was splashed into the saucer, no apology, no mopping up.Absolute rubbish.

i went to bylth serice station to get a drink for the very long journey i was undertaking walking over to the costa i was greated by a blond woman who asked me my order and delivered it in a reasonable time
when i sat at a table i was greated by a well mannered man called leon asking if i would like my table cleaning before eatting i found this to be a nice thing to offer and made me feel more at home after i had finished my drink and cake i went to put my tray over by the bin but the man said he would take it i was very impressed by the customer service of the costa woman and the person cleaning the table and will be coming back soon

Called in on a busy Friday night on my way to our holiday destination as I had a warning light on my dashboard. The duty manager was fantastic, helping me get the AA out and keeping my family warm and dry on a cold night. Thanks again highly recommend this services.

Called in on Sunday 9th September about 4pm. Went to Burger King, to be met by a sullen unhelpful girl, stale bread, angus burger like cardboard, cold, inedible, cold chips, altogether a horrid experience. Will not be calling again, and certainly not using a Burger King again after paying over Ã‚Â£15 for meals that had to be thrown away.

Good helpful service in restaurant area but disappointed to find sofabed grubby. No problem with parking as the info is very clearly displayed. Staff friendly. Would stay again but not in that room unless sofabed clean.

For everyone that keeps saying they received a "Fine" from parking at a services, the can NOT fine you for anything, only the police or local authority can fine you, ignore the scam parking charge, hove no contact with them, do not appeal, keep all the paperwork but do not have any contact with the cowboy parking company....they will not enforce the charge.....come on people....stop paying these criminals.

I am disgusted at the treatment of a parking fine after visiting your services to meet with colleagues 18/8/11 at 12.40 which was to be a regular meeting place. and to find i have been fined Ã‚Â£80 after eating and spending money at your establishment.i will not and i repeat not visit your services again or any other MOTO services i will also relay this to my colleagues and friends.

Shame it was a little difficult to navigate the Burger king was a little overpowering could have benefited from an individual Costa or Starbucks!But the toilets are adequate in size and amount and the WHSmiths is more than anyone could hope for.I'd stop there again should i have to.

I stopped at Blyth at 3am on Easter Saturday morning with a group of cyclists on a 24 hour ride. We were just about the only customers but were not made to feel welcome at all, I suppose we were an unusual group but we needed somewhere warm to buy some hot food and drinks and have a snooze for an hour. All the windows and doors were open in the restuarant area (we didn't bother asking for then to be closed as they were open the year before, and we got told they had to be left like that). One of my friends asked for some chips and was told there would not be enough for the next day if he had some! - or could the staff not be bothered to cook them?I don't suppose the night shift is the best job in the world, but we have been stopping there at Easter for several years. We won't be going back again if we can find somewhere else.

Travelling home on New Years Day, we needed to stop for something to eat. I wanted to thank all those staff working last night who gave an excellent service, freshly cooked food, very good clean facilities. I think it is down to good management and last night the manager was not only working but helping his staff with limited resources due to the holiday period. I recently stopped at this service station, unfortunately I mislaid my purse which I started to panic about. The staff were very helpful in calming medown and went to look for my purse, whilst I was given a cup of tea. The staff found my purse which I am very grateful for their help and service.

I have stopped at blyth many times and every time I have visited the site I have found the staff very friendly and helpful. I recently called in during the cold severe weather during the night and was cooked fresh fish and chips,which were lovely and I would recommend to any one!

visited services at the weekend. food was really good, staff were the best I have ever come across. I have a one year old and the staff took care of us, carrying trays and fetching a high chair. Will deffinatly return to these services

I am sorry but I thought this Service Station was awful.Maybe we hit a bad time [7.00pm on a Saturday night] but the place was filthy . . . . we stayed about 45 minutes and in that time not one table was cleared plus the floor was a mess and could not have accumulated all that detrious in the 15-minutes before we arrived . Plus [sorry ] there was no-one at any of the serving counters when we got there they came from out back within a minute or two but I could see the guy had just been emptying the bins; did he wash his hands before getting our food? Afraid not. Food was not good value .

Staff are polite and helpful. food was nice. fed and watered, i needed to close my eyes after eating the nice food there (was on a 750 mile round trip with breaks for safety). fell asleep whilst parked in the carpark and when i woke up it was just around 03:10. there are very few cars there around this time. i travelled on thinking nothing of it. got an Ã‚Â£80 fine through the post on the 19th for parking there as it was over some kind of 2 hour threshold. safe as to say that unfortunately, i will not be stopping there again.
i am sure that there are signs stating this 2 hour limit and consequence of limit exceedance but at the time that i arrived there was a police presence there and they had flashing direction signs up regarding what they are doing there and traffic directing. this distracted me from any other signs. that may have been present.

i work for moto sevices at blyth and i can reasure you that none of the food at burger king is served cold orunder cooked and the veggie bean burger is delightful as many people order them and we get very good feedback our houly rate is average and goes up every year we work there to give custumors the best experiance at a moto service station and we hope to see you all againmany thanks

We called in at Blyth for a meal at Burger King. A sign said all meat was not available due to a fault. Technicians were working on a cooker. We decide on a Chicken Royale each. No fries. My chicken was too hot to eat, so i blew it to cool it. three hours later my wife at violent stomach pains, diarrhia and sick half an hour later. She is cold and all her limbs are in pain. As I write this at Saturday lunch she is still ill with diarrhia, cramps, pain, tired, lethargic and motionless. All she had had yesterday was a prridge breakfast and a shared salad sandwich. When i asked her about her Chicken she said it was barely warm! I am deeply distressed for my wife and on monday I will seek proffesional advice.

I have been visiting Moto service station at Blyth on the A1 regularly for nearly seven years. The staff are helpful, it's always clean and the choice of food & merchandise is good. The only complaint is that it's a tad bit expensive but I use my AA card to get a 20% discount.

Avoid the veggie burger from this Burger King at all costs - have had bad stomach cramps twice now after stopping here. Never again! On the other hand, the toilet facilities are always clean and well kept so it's fine for a quick stop.

My daughter and her boyfriend along with my wife and some other people attended your establishment on Saturday the 22 of November 2008,on their way to Sheffield shopping centre.My daughter and her boyfriend decided to partake in a breakfast,as the two breakfasts arrived(in polysterene boxes swimming in fat)with two drinks her boyfriend was told the sum for such a feast was a staggering Ã‚Â£22:00. I am unsure the hourly rate you pay your staff but at those prices I will be applying for a job but not in your kitchen area as i set my standards alot higher than yourselves

Much the friendliest service area I've visited, but the range of hot food, as with all Moto sites these days, is poor. Pleasant restaurant - better than the usual cavernous sheds.
