Called in last week while work was being carried out to internal area on way to Costa Coffee. Workmen were oblivious to general public walking past and every other word they were using in their private conversation began with an "F" and was loud enough to be heard by most people in the area. Reported this to staff at Costa but not sure if passed on so here it is... Contractors who have such total disregard for the public should not be allowed to work in these areas. Having said that, coffee was good and all other areas clean.

We popped into the services this morning at about 9.40am, the floor leading to Costa was wet and my daughter Emma went flying really hurting her hip and back. No one from the service station staff enquired after her well fair. Please be careful the floor was like shot Ice.

I can confirm the price of a medium cappucino is Ã‚Â£3.35 so 2 would make your Ã‚Â£6.70. We do small / Medium / Large with the small being the cheapest at Ã‚Â£2.99. would just like to say i stopped at Burton in Kendal north bound on my way home to Scotland many times as they have the cleanest toilets i have ever seen in any services both my husband and i think so. Gents were a bit tricky to find but a young tall man in black lcm or similar was more than happy to lead my husband to them and open the disabled toilet for me as i forgot my radar key very very helpful he even got us water for are dog in a bottle to take with us.

Thought we stop here for a brew on the way to lake Windermere after seeing the 5* rating and previous comments.
All i can say is it must have been a bad day at this service station. We sat at the outside sitting area at front and every table was filthy, used plates everywhere paper napkins floating all other the floor. I cleaned one table myself to sit at with a couple of unused napkins that were floating around. It wasn't busy and staff were coming out fetching food and not cleaning away existing tables even though they could see how filthy they were.
This is one i will give a miss in future.

My mother took our 3 children to morecambe yesterday and stopped at the services on the way home. The food was good and the service was good but one of the staff told her off for sitting in the wrong section. When mum got back she realised one of our daughters had left her cherished teddy in the services, we had a nightmare getting her to sleep. We phoned this morning to ask if it had been handed in but the woman who answered the phone was unhelpful and dismissive and didn't even go and look. We hadn't be coming again.

I stopped of at these services in Sunday morning around 6.45am hoping to get a breakfast, unfortunately the cafe wasent open, I spoke to the young girl (Danielle) and she was more than happy to serve me. I was handed a card when I paid to leave a comment, I am more than happy to do this as I feel this was excellent service, I will not hesitate to stop these services again.

I have just stopped at moto services at Burton -in-Kendal.
I found that it may look a bit tired it was very clean.
I decided to treat myself to Burger King Chicken Royala and wish I hadn't.
The service, by Charlotte, was amazing but the quality of the chicken was disgusting.
I had to leave it.
What a shame as the service was so good and the service station was very clean.?

After a long drive, we were thankful to stop off at Burton-in-Kendal. We had a lovely coffee and hot chocolate. To say that we had a stressful journey before stopping off would be an understatement. The staff at Burton-in-Kendal could not of been more helpful and considerate and I was keen to share this with the manager who directed me to this site. Thank you once again to everyone!

On a resent visit we were so impressed with the service of the staff they were polite and helpful, we asked could we leave a tip which was refused, but were asked to leave a comment about our visit.

I called at this service station on my way to see family I was very impressed with the cleanliness the staff were also very helpful. The food was really nice, I wanted to give the service station a compliment and was advised of this website as the staff told me they were working hard to gain five burgers which on reflection of my visit I think they deserve.

We called at burton services on our way to Scotland on a very hot day. We found the staff extremely helpful dealing with our disabled child by helping us with our needs, even going as far to bring water for our pet dog. I'd say by far it was an enjoyable stop which we wouldn't hesitate to make again

I travel a lot to the lakes and will plan my route to stop at burton in Kendal services as I find it clean And inviting. The staff always have a smile and even when Costa is busy they always spend that bit of time with each person to make individual service. The management should be happy to know that each department shows the same high standard and I am reAssured that if I did have a problem it would be resolved immediately

We stopped at Burton late evening Friday 26 July. My mother has to stick to a gluten free diet and it can be difficult in some service areas to find suitable food. The staff at Burger King could not have been more helpful. Huge thanks to , I think, Charlotte and Tony as well as the staff behind the scenes. The whole area is clean and well run. We would stop there again.

i stop regularly for a shower as they are the best on the m6, only problem is they are grubby and in need of a good cleaning or upgrade ,as these are the best on the m6 south i would hopefully they get done SOON ,,regards jack

hi there ,just a comment i visited your costa for a decent coffee as i thought it would be only to be served by an abrupt ,ignorant,so called "manager" stephen in costa ,he couldnt be bothered to serve me a decent drink ,my cappuccino, was cold ,and just full of froth ,as im a truck driver and have limited time i didnt have time to wait has he a a long line of people waiting to be served, disgraceful ,he needs removing or retraining ,ive been a regular many times and served by lots of lovely girls who are very polite and i get a decent brew ,,i wont come and be served by him again ill go elsewhere ,brian

i visited your costa last sunday with my family,as i love costa coffee ,,i always order flat white ,on this occasion ,i was served by a young lad training i presume as he didnt know who to make one ,on asking his manager a lad with glasses called stephen as he had "manager" on his shirt ,he just told him to guess and put froth on top !!!!! what a disgrace, i refused my coffee and went to the edc where i was served a latte with excellent service .i would hope this so called "manager " learns some respect as i wont visit your costa again dissatisfied costa customer

I called at this service area for the first time ever on my way up to the Lake District. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the building and the staff of all the departments (my husband an I used all of them) were very efficient and friendly and the food and drinks were of a high standard. This area seemed to be very well managed and organised. I will be making another trip up soon and will definitely call in. Thank you to all the Management and staff of Burton-in-Kendal service area

Stopped off on the way to Scotland today, tried the Costa which was very busy but they were doing a great job- the staff were very helpful and the flat white was much better than the usual service station standard.

we have never stoped at burton before but will be doing so in the future as it is a lovely well run clean place to stop the customer service of the staff is great we would highley recomend other disabled travelers to stop as all the staff are helpful....thankyou jenny [restaurant]

Stopped off just to use the toilets and found a inviting, clean place with staff very much happy to help with directions so decided to stop for a meal which was also very nice. Well done moto and the management team at Burton.

The hotel was vevy noisy with a truck stop outside the front.Trucks were coming and going all night as well as the motorway traffic very close.i had booked three double rooms and not one of them had two sets of towels.I had a long drive the following morning with very little sleep.I would not stop there again,

I know that Moto have an appeals process for anyone who feels they shouldn't have received a parking notice. If you or someone you know has been a customer or fallen asleep and a parking notice has been issued, log onto the moto web site and get in touch with them. They also have a duty manager available who can deal with any customer concerns or queries before you leave site.

dozed off for 30 mins too long ...hit with a Ã‚Â£50 fine...not great when en-route to a funeral far south....oh well lesson learnt...wont visit again..and will have an alarm set for any other services i may need a few minutes rest at

I stayed overnight in my van at Burton in Kendal Services. I'd beg to differ with respect to the comments I read regarding Burton in Kendal Services, although I've never stopped at Forton so I don't know if its slightly-intriguing nor Tebay so I don't know if its nice. You are able to get in to the gents straight from the car park mind you I did go deeper into the services to get the key to the shower. The shower was the hottest and fastest I've used nationwide at service stations.

I think that you're spot-on. Northbound between the slightly-intriguing Forton services and the rather-nice Tebay ones, there's no real reason to go here unless you've mistimed your loo break.
It's most interesting feature is the toilet block, which from memory runs parallel to the car park along the length of the service station building to its entrance, which is to one end of the car park. You used to be able to get in straight from the car park but they closed that entrance off years ago so that you have to walk pass the loos, in the main door, then back in the direction you were walking.
Nothing wrong with these services, but if you're traveling long distance stop at Forton or Tebay if you can!
