We just stopped for a kfc, to only receive dry, uncooked and old chicken, which were nowhere near fresh. My partners food was not nice as it had no taste and the chicken was disgusting. I cannot explain my meal, it was just so bad that I have a really bad stomach ache. Their quality of customer service was very dull and they did not seem to bothered so we did not approach them for fresh meals as we thought it would not get anywhere.
The kfc should be checked for the quality of the food as well as hygiene, as people could get sick from eating raw chicken or even get food poisoning! I would never stop off there for a meal again!

am fuming angry and very shaken up after having to have a go at two groups of people for using disabled spaces when they were not disabled. The first two cars had a child between them and thought that that entitled them to use a disbled space. Meaning I had to park further away and I AM disabled. The second two cars were also together and neither were disabled. They were aggressive towards me and seemed to be Irish travellers. They told ME not to swear in front of their kids and yet stuck their fingers up at ME and refused to move their vehicles.I've just about had enough of people without morals or empathy. You really need to check your car parks regularly as these people are not only disgusting excuses for humans who cause stress for others but it means that those in need or room to get wheelchairs etc out and who need to be closer to amenities are unable to do so due to the selfishness of others.There was nobody anywhere near by to ask for help in either of these instances. I have attached pictures of the second vehicles and you will see one of the drivers in the background sticking her fingers up at me.

Only visited the Costa- which is consistently dirty with staff with minimal service skills. On this visit there were flies in the cake cabinet, I was given a filthy knife, the barista wiped his hands on himself then held my cup by the rim and the ledges were dusty and had crumbs on. It wasn't busy, so no excuse for any of this. This store needs some urgent attention.

My partner and I regularly stop here.Can someone please tell me why the disabled toilets are not opened by Radar Key? I am sick and tired of ablebodied people using these toilets because it's easier than using the ordinary ones. I CANNOT wait if I need the toilet, these people are more than welcome to use my wheelchair for 24hrs and see how they like it!

I had a stop today and was very impressed by the quality coffee and service at LP4. Way above what you would expect at a service station. Brilliant!

Brilliant services. We stopped and ate and the food was great value and very tasty. Noodle bar was excellent! Toilets were clean. Baby change was also very clean. Only small criticism would be that the baby change room is quite small. All in all though we will definately use this service area when on route in the future, Good job!

We tried 2 stop with our motorhime 2 day not a large 1 but no spaces & a fird focus was parked in a designated space please fine these people & more larger spaces required

There are only 4 disabled parking bays which are never free when I arrive. Having sat watching, lots of obviously not disabled people park in them. I cannot get out of my car when parked in a "normal" bay as there is not enough room to open the door. It needs to be policed and there needs to be more spaces provided.
The disabled toilet should be near the door of the services, not at the other end.
please could at least one of the food outlets provide toast!

I was subjected to the most horrid tirade of abuse by a oman claiming to be the owner of the food area. At one point she almost flew across the counter at me. Higly unproffessional and a disgrace to Cambridge services.I won't be returning, neither will my passengers. DO NOT USE THESE SERVICES!!!!! F.Provin is her name, she is unhinged and disrace to the services.

i stopped here 2 year ago and found the disabled toilet in very poor condition(loose rails no pull cords).When i mentioned this to a supervisor she hadno idea what i was talking aboutno training had been given.It just hapened to be the same day a regionalmanager was walking around so i grabbed him and bent his ear also.he promised faithfully to improve training and to get the repairs carried out asap.Well guess what i visited again last night and the drop down bar is broken the hand rails likewise and the supervisor was clueless having not been trained regarding these itemsneedless to say i provided some which he took on board and i am certain he will pass onto the team.Sadly when i first visited i also contacted the ir head office who assured me training etc would be put in place OH DEAR i am looking foward to tomorrows phone call

Stopped here today for the first time. No major complaints; like all Extra services it has a good selection of food outlets and petrol prices were surprisingly low compared to many MSAs (although, of course, this isn't really an MSA as it isn't on a motorway). My main criticism is the food court: it has plenty of food but not enough court. If you include M&S Simply Food then there are six different options for food and drink (and seven if you consider that LP4's "Boulangerie" is separate to their coffee outlet), which is much better than the average MSA. But, despite the fact that the car park was less than half full and none of the outlets had significant queues, finding an empty table after we'd bought our food was quite difficult. I hate to think what it would be like when it's busy.

Visited these services on 19th June 2012. Good facilities for families travelling and on this occasion plenty of parking spaces with the exception of caravaners. All their spaces were occupied by white van man ! The Shell garage was exceptionally clean and offers so much. My purpose was to fill up with LPG (Autogas) which my car runs on. Very competativily priced and the service was second to none. If I had just one crititism it would be the height of the credit card machine. I am 5'7" tall (or short) but any shorter I would not have been able to reach it. Could be embarrasing if you were vertically challenged and had to ask for something to stand on. otherwise very good service.

I pulled in to the services on Sunday the 20-may -12 had no problem parking in the Caravan bay for just under 2 hours, in the 2 hours that i was there, had a free shower in the services wich were very Clean even though it was busy ! then had nice cup of tea which I made in my caravan, cooked a lovely bacon butty ! had a snooze then went on my way .... there is not many service staions in England where you can come on to a service staion and do all this for free, so come on fellow caravaners, stop your windging and look at what cambridge services has to offer! it is also reasuring to see that , there is a large number of car parking spaces been created which should make car and caravan parking easery !

There have been lots of comments made over the last couple of years about cars and trucks parking in the caravan parking area, but to date to actions seems to have been taken.
What is the point of having a web site and an area for adding comments if no positive action is carried out to rectify the problem.
Why is the manager of the A14 Service station not taking any action to solve this ongoing problem ?

Here we go again pulled into this service area with our caravan in tow only to find nearly all the caravan only bays occupied by cars,vans & a truck,we had to wait in the approach road until somebody eventually moved off.I can only assume that these people can't read or that they are totaly inconsiderate to their fellow motorists.Why can't the managment of this service area do something to rectfy this situation PLEASE!!!

In November 2011 the ladies toilets were not clean only the basin area, i came back in December 2011 the same toilets were still disgusting and put me off ever using them again! And the mcds burger was burnt, a real let down to a beautiful service station!

Wow! Stop at many many service stations up and down the UK and found Cambridge to be very good. Ate at the Lp4 very good quality food, excelent coffee and I didn't need a second mortgage to buy it. Great to see keep up the good work Extra.

Wow what a turn around since 2010 this place is much cleaner,im a regular customer and before 2010 didnt seem to have great staff i seem to remember a blonde girl playing with her hair with overfull bins and dirty tables,now when i walk in its fresh,clean new costa and wh smith keep it up !

I normally use cambridge services and i have to say i came in a 8pm and its no longer tired looking good to see a new whsmith and the toilets were clean and can see costa in development give your staff/supervisor pat on the back !!

Hello, I often stop off at Cambridge on my travels up the A14 and have found it too be very good. However I was delighted recently when I discovered by chance that they now provide a gluten free menu! Finding something suitable to eat with the coeliac condition is always a bit of a challenge. Now I can arrive at Cambridge services with confidence.

I have used these services for the last time.I'm a lorry driver, I pay Ã‚Â£18 to park for the night and the showers are always filthy, last night the dirt was just swept behind the shower door. The toilets are never clean. I only use these services at weekends but they should be kept cleaner with spot checks to keep the cleaning staff on their toes.Staff in the shops etc are OK, prices a bit too high (but all services are).On the lory park side there should be a seperate place for refrigerated lorries so their noise doesn't keep the drivers awake all night.

Yet again!! disappointed with the service at KFC, not only did they get the order wrong for the second consecative time i ordered a fully loaded tower meal and they managed to find an even smaller piece of chicken than the previous visit sounds bitter but the service is terrible and the manager/s needs to take a long hard look at themselves and their staff!!!

You get a life, look at all the feed back for this service area there's good and bad, so take it pal and let Extra or yourself use the comments to strive for a better feedback, as the one company that gets it right are going to steal and grow there business,

The last post needs to get a life, these are the best Services on the whole stretch of the A14, I can only imagine they have some other motive for posting such a negative feedback on the toilets, always found them very good, well done to the whole team at Cambridge Services!

We recently pulled into this service area with our caravan in tow only to find all the CARAVAN ONLY BAYS occupied by 3 cars, 1 large white van and a road repair gang lorry,when we asked if the lorry could move to the HGV park we were met with the most foul mouthed man telling us to F*** off he paid his taxes and park his lorry where he liked.If i parked my outfit in the car park or the lorry park I would probably get clamped or finded so why isnt this enforced on the caravan bays.Otherwise these services are a pleasant place to take a break after a long drive.

Brilliant services, best on the A14. Only gripe is Transit vans and the like parking in car parking spaces. My husband struggled to open the driver's door because the van next to us was taking up so much space. In my opinion, they should be parked in HGV parking area.

I was extremely impressed by the layout and facilities. Refreshing change to see a "free" ATM. I do not eat fast food, but was very taken with an outlet (can't recall name: F1 ?? -do wish I could), serving excellent coffee and tasty, healthy snacks. Very reasonable prices and extremely friendly and efficient staff. Such a welcome change from most places.

Please warn all drivers that the exit roads from the services have a number of diesel spills on the surface, pesumably from HGV's that have just filled up ready to continue their journeys. On Sunday 4 Jan this caused my vehicle to skid and, as trafic was light, I was extremely fortunate not to have a serious accident. I wonder if anyone else has reported the same problem

Clean, nice atmos (as these things go), airy, spacious feel, decent selection of eaterys, not overly busy, decent carpark with good pedestrian path so you can walk from car to services without risk of getting mown down - especially if you've small children (take note Corley). Exceptionally miserable member of staff at McDonalds (a young girl with one star, presumably for turning up, and unlikely to earn more stars...).

I got even with selfish car drivers at this stop. Cars were filling the caravan bays, so I saw a few bays empty in the cars only bit and managed to occupy 10 car parking bays with my 41 ft long car + caravan. It raised a few eyebrows and I glared at anyone who even looked like they were going to say something. Apart from the total lack of caravan bays, this is one of the better and reasonably priced service areas you are likely to come across in the UK.

I am a caravanner and I am quite infuriated by the selfish car drivers who use the caravan parking areas. This service station, like many others, now clamps caravan towing vehicles that use the HGV area while making no attempt whatsoever to prevent car drivers from parking in the areas supposedly dedicated to caravans. Caravanners are then left wth nowhere else to park. We are contiually being exhorted to "take a break" and this selfish behaviour by car drivers and site owners alike forces tired drivers to continue on their journies and it can cause great distress should a toilet break be required. The latter point is particularly relevant for children and the elderly. I would ask the site operators to either strictly enforce "caravans only" or permit caravanners to use the HGV bays when there is no other alternative.
