I visited the services today, I found the toilets clean, the staff I interacted with were helpful & polite, although the prices in the shop are higher than your local supermarket, they aren't to bad.
On the whole not a bad service station. I travel 60,000 miles a year so see from the best to the worst and as I said this one is not as bad as some of the comments made, I will say my comments are based on my experience on the Southbound side.

DISGUSTING!!! The toilets are nothing short of horrific. Next time I will soil my pants and just stay on the road. It is clearly more hygenic than visiting this service station. Honestly, I've been to glastonbury and they have nothing on Corley Services. Staff need a lesson in personal hygiene as well. All in all, I certainly won't be using it again. I'd rather starve in poo filled pants.

Comments apply to Eeastbound only.
I came in early evening.
The entry slip road from the motorway was dangerously short and the road boundary markings extremely faded, making the approach dangerous at night and/or in poor visibility - these factors alone would stop me recommending this site.
The retail area was clean and tidy. Food is expensive - even more than you would expect at service areas. Burger King & KFC, clean, and polite service, though a bit understaffed for the time of day.
Sweets / snacks / drinks etc at W H Smiths are eye wateringly pricey. Beware the Pick & Mix is not price marked, I was greedy and took a chance and got stung - expect to pay around 3X supermarket price. 4pt milk only had a 20 % markup over supermarket, so surprisingly good value.
Dedicated baby care seating area with microwave for bottles - thoughtful.
Cashpoint charge was £1.95 - avoid.
Didn't use the toilets so can't comment on these.
Didn't refuel here and didn't notice prices so can't comment on these.

Corley services are a rip-off.Terrible food & service. The place should be condemned.
Paula, 3 December 2011

Great staff, plesant to talk too and much better service than M&S Moto, definately worth the stop.

Corley (North) must be the worst service area in the country, the parking facilities are terrible, the shops and service terrible and to top it off you are spied on by Big Brother in the guise of "ParkingEye" who send you a ticket if you are parked for 5 minutes over the stupid two free parking that you get in this country.
I am not suprised at the amount of accidents involving trucks on motorways in this country, truck drivers are not allowed to take their extended breaks due to the greedy service area operators, The UK is the only country that charges for extended parking, in the rest of Europe it is free because of the safety aspect, but what are a few wasted lives compared with profit?
What will you do when the laws are changed and there is no driving allowed by trucks on Sunday, you will not be able to charge then?

Lets hope the movers and shakers at WB do something about the service people are encountering. Vote with your feet and go elsewhere.Motorway services hav'nt got a captive market as before and the Asdas and tescos supermarkets etc are just off junctions nowadays (use your sat navs) they offer a cheaper alternative although not open 24 hours.
anonymous coward, 20 September 2010
As i know the movers and shakers at WB read this site, then this is how it was for me.
Arrived, BK for me, two kids messing about behind the counter, seemed more interested in each other.
No UPSELL, or suggestive selling as they are trained to do.
Felt like shouting the words GAPBUSTERS, but that would give me away!
Toilets, well for want of a better word, DISGUSTING!
Why does WHS have a broken down ice cream freezer in full view of the public.
Guess what people, folks still buy ice cream in winter...
I could go on, but it's getting late..
In short Corley is held up there in the WB world, in this case it was well below par, it would seem there is serious work to be done!

hi my name is john i am 6 yrs old and evertime i go to burger king southbound i find the staff always treat me with respect the staff are lovely and the food is always hot and same price as any other burger king have took my mates there and they all said the same very safe and happy thanks
john rose, 4 September 2010
A Saturday night, just driven from Holyhead after 3hr ferry journey from Dublin, our first stop on way to the south.
Lights advertised KFC and Burger King, we were all really hungry No KFC...no Burger King, just overdone micro food..crap. Why advertise food that is not there? Driver HAD to eat(didn't enjoy it)), the rest of us sat there without eating whilst watching people turn up and leave...very disappointing.
Fiona, 3 September 2010
i left my mobile phone at the Southbound services. The staff looked after it, rang the last number I had called and left a message with my firend, I then called the services back and they posted my phone back to me within 24 hours. Incredible service. I am really chuffed.
Heather, 25 August 2010
I always avoid Corley services whenever possible because they are a rip-off.Starbucks sucks so does the lousy overpriced food & service.
Susan, 15 August 2010
8/10 I always stop at this services because it has Starbucks coffee, good coffee can never be missed!!!
Kat, 12 August 2010
I stopped off for a cooked breakfast at the services (South Bound). the only till operator was also making coffee. Consequently by the time I had paid for my meal and my coffee was made my meal was cold. Services should start to consider the customer first rather than cutting costs!!
david sparkes, 23 April 2010
1/10 Overall. With the exception of Starbucks which is the same as elsewhere, the price of food & drink at Corley services is scandalous & of very poor quality.£10 for a half cold cup of tea,two greasy sausages, egg & sloppy beans. An absolute rip-off.
Rosina, 19 January 2010
9/10 overall. starbucks cofee is priced the same as all it's other stores and it's great to have a good cofee at a s station.toilets ok had a good poo with no complaints.
Suba, 4 January 2010
You hear many bad things about this site and yep its a bit over priced, but i was pleasantly supprised to see that they are building a Waitrose store, finally things must be on a up, if they are putting this brand in there
Simon, 15 October 2009
Northbound toilets have a certificate saying they were awarded 5 stars by The Good Loos guide or some such.
Beats me what you'd have to do to get one star as the place is always smelly and the hand driers don't really have their heart in it.
Ken Grayling, 11 October 2009
God Bless these services!
I dropped in there on the way to Manchester and left my brand new, very expensive mobile phone behind. One of the staff found it and went through the phonebook, calling people to track me down.
OK, the food etc may be a rip off but the staff there get 10/10 from me!
Rob, 2 October 2009
There is nothing remotely impressive about Corley services. Its an absolute rip-off.Crap food, overpriced, and lousy service.Toilets are a disgrace. This place should be condemned.Dont be fooled by anybody who tells you otherwise. They probably work there.Avoid unless you are desperate.
Pauline Fellowes, 5 September 2009
just have to say that one of the waiters a very fine lady was looking hot today x
mc, 31 August 2009
We have been particularly impressed with this service area and have even gone out of our way to go to this on instead of others in the area.
Linda Cooke, 28 August 2009
Corley services is a rip-off.£20 for two rotten half cold fry ups & tea for two.Daylight robbery.
Linda, 19 August 2009
There is no parking for caravans on the west bound services and the signs for cars are so poor that I saw many cars being driven the wrong way down one way roads. There is a need to sort out the parking signs.
C White, 14 August 2009
I have visited this service station many times and the staff seem to be friendly and helpful, however on the 9th April, the lady serving at the petrol counter was rude and had an attitude problem. I was trying to pay for diesel, but didn't know I was at the wrong till, her attitude towards me was rude. The other lady serving was very helpful and took the palyment without problem. The services themselves are lovely, it's just this member of staff in the petrol station.
Emma Gosling, 9 April 2009
Corley services have great facilities.Nice clean toilets, lovely cafes,& great food & drink on offer to the weary traveller. And great value for money too.If you believe that then you will be in for a very nasty surprise.Avoid this place unless you are desperate. What a rip-off.
Lisa, 5 February 2009
The Primo Coffee INSIDE this service area has a poor assistant. She served people who only wished to pay for a hot meal because there was NO CASHIER ON THE TWO MAIN TILLS (this was 7.45 pm on Sunday 28th September!
It was only after asking her why she had kept us waiting endlessly when we were there 1st that she was persuaded to serve us.
I shall write to Primo HQ as the Late was virtually COLD, she didn't even give me a wooden stirer and had to be asked to do so.
Marks out of 10 - 4. Pathetic. Come back Cafe Nero you are the best and always have been. Even Starbucks would have bettered this. Why don't they train the staff at Cafe Primo properly.
Wouldn't visit this outlet again if I was dying of thirst!
Mrs Cooper, 28 September 2008
Toilets were very clean and tidy, the shop had some great offers, although the food in the main section was very expensive, however I got around this by buying a kids meal box - you get a capri sun drink and then choose 4 of the following items - a sandwich, penguin, crisps, box of raisins, a babybel or a yoghurt. The sandwich is only plain ham or cheese, but is the same size as the ones priced around £4 in the normal section.
liz, 21 September 2008
There is nothing remotely fantastic about Corley services. The services are exactly what you might come to expect from these establishments.Overpriced lousy food,& indifferent staff.Visit Starbucks if you must. They are the biggest rip-off.Avoid unless desperate.
Geoff P, 18 September 2008
Yes indeed,Corley services is fantastic. The sky high prices, the crap food, being ripped off, filthy toilets,& indifferent staff.Fantastic?Don't believe a word of it.Some idiots are easily pleased..
Pauline, 15 September 2008
Its a fantastic services, only with a starbucks in the uk, staff are friendly, cannot fault it all, stopped there a lot this year
Helen Bradley, 11 September 2008
The previous reviewer must be living on another planet.Corley services is undeniably an absolute rip-off.Pity the recent improvements have not included their appalling facilities & negative approach to customer service.Least of all the scandalous prices. How can one justify charging £8 for a greasy lukewarm fry up,£6 for a measly pre-packed ham salad,or £4 for a sarnie.Starbucks is a rip- off.Corley services gives a whole new meaning to highway robbery.Get a reality check. This place needs to be condemned.
Julie, 8 August 2008
i am a regular user of teh M^ and M6 toll. i find this to be teh best services in the midlands, theres been big improvmenst recent months not the least a great hotel on north bound side, liek teh factyou have a choice of BK or KFC both of which are the same prices as teh high street so i dont see this as rip off as its the same product and prce you would pay in New Street Birmingham. Starbucks is great coffee.
Bob Smith, 7 August 2008
I always make a point of avoiding Corley services.Starbucks is a rip off.£10 for a measly plate of half cold slop & a cup of coffee is about right.Trading standards ought to pay a visit to this dump.
Cheryl, 7 August 2008
I always make a point of stopping at these services for the starbucks (even when I'm going the other way). It is normally a high point of my journey! I wish there were more services with a starbucks in.
Jenny Walden, 7 July 2008
Had the pleasure of visiting this joke of a service station recently.Cost me £10 for a plate of sloppy half cold beans, sausages, hash brown & a cup of tea.More fool me.The person who said Corley services is NOT overpriced either must be an idiot or probably works there. This is rip-off Britain at its very worst. The environmental health should close this place down for good.
Katie , 3 July 2008
Stopped for a break here at 2am 27/6/08 words fail me, the whole site is an appalling disgrace. Filty, stinking toilets, staff with a novel approach to customer service, limited catering facilities and very expensive too.
The whole place felt & looked in need of a good clean, why the local Environmental Health Officials haven't closed this place down I don't know as it is not fit for purpose.
Gary Farrimond, 28 June 2008
£20 to stay overnight on a piece of dirty tarmac. What a rip off.
Ian Voller, 1 May 2008
Nuke it - it's that bad!
Mark, 11 December 2007
Corley services is an absolute rip-off.Love it or loathe it,i can confirm that Corley services is as expensive as it is unpleasant.Had to stop en-route from Essex to N.Wales for some petrol & to use the toilets which were in the usual filthy state.Cost one customer £16 for two measly pre-packed ham salads, coke,& crisps.NOT overpriced?Good value for money?Don't believe it.Dick Turpin really does live on at Corley services.Probably even works there?Pity Corley services can't be more like the French.Visit if you must. But beware.
Rosina, 19 November 2007
Always found these services easy to get around both north and southbound and it has everything you will need on a long journey.
D.Francis, 28 October 2007
Corley Services is the best thing i have ever experienced. It brings me so much joy to visit and realise why I live nearby. It has everything a service station should have, is NOT overpriced, and in a perfectly good condition. You should all feel ashamed, as you are hurting the feelings of everyone that knows and loves Corley Services. I pity you.
Sarah Hayes, Corley.
Sarah Hayes, 20 October 2007
Corley services represents everything that is bad about rip-off Britain today.Bland overpriced food, lousy service,& ripping off customers big time.Cost nearly £20 for a greasy half cold fry up & a pot of tea for two. This is highway robbery.Dick Turpin lives on at Corley services.Best avoided.
Ian, 19 September 2007
OK services, typical big site with the average food you expect from mass catering outlets.
Watch vehicle security - The car parks are very poorly lit (almost non-existent in some areas) + no CCTV and they have a big problem with thieves from the surrounding towns targeting the area.
Jim Andrews, 3 August 2007
Very Expensive!!! £2 for a cup of coffee!!!!! why do dservices have to rip you off?
Adrian Gardiner, 27 July 2007
Just drove past and they now have a sign just before the sliproad saying they have Starbucks. Have Starbucks bought out Coffee Primo? And which other service stations have Starbucks?
Fred Finisterre, 10 November 2006
I think that sharon is funny, but this is where we have to meet, i am not really a big fan of services
Robert, 10 November 2006
toilets in a disgusting state 12:30 21-8-06,doors without bolts,no paper,one overflowing
gary kent, 23 August 2006
the foood was half cooked and cold as well as very expensive
anonymous coward, 7 June 2006
Can often be very crowded, as it's the only service area on the M6 to the east of Birmingham.
