visited this services on aprox 7/8 of aprill early hours of the morning with my daughter as we was going from cornwall to norfolk to visit her mother. we usually stop at this mc donalds for a rest and somethink to eat. on this occasion sitting in the car i mentioned to my daughter that the burger seemed to taste quite funny?, not much like a mc donalds one at all, i put it down to being a bit tired or somethink, big mistake, we carried on our journey, on getting to our destination a few hours later , i became violently ill, and my daughter became ill aswell, i sufferedwith being constantly sick and constant runs for 3 to 4 days and the stomach pains was severe, my daughter was not so bad. on speaking to said servers, they was not interested at all, just gave me customer services number, when i rang customer services, it waslike talking to someone with no interest in the matter?. they said it would be looked into and would reply in writting, well just got a reply, and as usual with a large company like them, its got brushed under carpet and to add insult to injury, they sent me three vouchers for more meals at a mc donalds?, are these people real,as if im ever going to go to mc donalds ever again, i just hope people read this and be very carefull if they do go there for theire sake and theire childrens sake , and if you do have any probs with one of theire stores get official medicle attention straight away so you are covered and notify the health people, as i would not like others to suffer like myself and my daughter have?. going to put this matter to their usa head office to try and find out why they have such a blarzy attitude over hear towards their customers, now its a case of burger king hear we come.

My daughter and I stopped for a coffee at Costa, in thos service station, yesterday. We had my grandson, who is very disabled with us. I bought the drinks and took them to the table. Ben knocked the entire table over.
We were amased at the promp and wonderful way the staff dealt with this. A number of them came out with mops and buckets, They asked before moving Ben, checked that he was ok and replaced our drinks for free.
Well done Costa staff.

on my way into work, sunday 2nd december 2012,@ 04;30, i went to get fuel from the pump,(i was on empty with light flashing) i was greeted over the tannoy system with we dont have credit card facilities at the moment CASH ONLY!!!, i explained that i didnt have any cash on me and was told that was the only option available to me, i didnt even get chance to explain the situation in detail as the attendant quickly dissapeared from the kiosk, i felt really cheesed off with attitude of attendant, what would happen if a mother and children were in the same situation and ran out of fuel on the motorway!!!!!!! good customer service i think not!!!

Why is it so difficult to get a postcode for a motorway service station? This website does not supply it for M5 Junction 28 Services at Cullompton where I wish to meet up with family using sat nav directions requiring a postcode!

I stop here 3 days a week to rest after night shifts locally. The macdonalds food is the same as you'd get in your own town, and same price. It is close to a large supermarket (around the corner), ideal to stock up. But the best thing I found is the staff, very friendly, and the site manager is a beauty.

As a disabled driver with mobility problems, I stopped at Cullompton services to use the loo. I stopped initially at the 'fuel' part coz the loos tend to be a lot nearer and I can park right outside the door. However, there were no loos inside this building. After such an effort to 'walk' to the building, not excluding the desperacy to use the toilet, I wish there could have a sign outside which would be visible from the entrance to let us know that there were no toilets. On to the main building, I parked up and entered by the main door. The toilets were through the MacDonald's restaurant (loads of children running around, understandably) but the disbled loo was in sight, thank the lord! However, the 'back door' was open making the loos accessible from the back of the building - I WISH there could have been a sign to tell disabled drivers to access the back of the building for the loo!! I'm majorly surprised that you weren't left with a puddle! I would really appreciate your comments - Jackie

My partner and I have visited the LP cafe at cullompton Services several times and always enjoyed good service, great coffee and a good full breakfast, contrary to the previous comments, the toilets have always been clean and in good working order. we were disappointed this weekend, we arrived later than usual and our all day breakfast wasn't a patch on the usual and neither was the service, all very young women - dressed in pyjama's (for charity I know)- Breakfast was cold and the eggs solid and congealed, our coffees were slopped in the saucers by a clumsy waitress who apologised but did nothing about it leaving me to get serviettes and mop it up. We'll be there early next week and will give it another go. Hopefully that was just a one off.

on the 21st of august 2010, my family and i visited the junction 28 cullompton services,in Devon, the toilets are the most filthy toilets i have ever seen in the uk, i have pictures of how filthy, these toilet's are in as a whole, which my family and i were most appauled about,Which made us proceed on with our journey, to the next service's, to use their toilets and food facility's, which i must say was very clean and a very friendly, establishment, which we will most definetly use again in the future, and what amazed us more, about the cullompton services, was seeing a man in a blue top with extra wrote on it, sat down with a drink and playing with his phone at midnight, when customers like our selves, are very tired after a very long journey, and all we want are clean toilet's to use and freshen up in, befor we eat.
Stopped here for breakfast just after arriving in Plymouth on the overnight ferry. Could not rate the Mcdonalds highly enough. The staff were so nice, friendly and helpful. The premises were clean with an extra personal touch and the food was fab! Thanks

I would like to thank firstly the very kind individual who found my purse and handed it in after i left it on a table at the service station. I would also like to thank the person who posted my purse back to me with all the contents present and correct.I live in Leicestershire and would not have been able to collect it.There are still some very kind and honest people out there.I would be greatful if you could forward this message to the individuals concerned.Purse was left on friday 30th July 2010.Thanks again.Ruth Wardhaugh.

Lovely service area, almost totally lacks the overpriced rubbish everywhere else.
Easily the best on this site. Though it's not a proper MSA as it's not directly off the M5.

I live near Cullompton. The services are small but very useful as they give us 24hour access to food fuel and money. The fuel forcourt has just been refurbished to accomodate lorries better, but it is still rather cramped. These services are on a small exit J 28 with only one bridge and one small rounabout, so care should be taken at busy times, as it can all clog upThere is now a Little Chef next door to the MacDonalds. Parking is good for cars, but Lorries and Caravans need good drivers

Since these services are at a junction, you can get to them from either direction. But they're only signposted if you're travelling north...

Small and compact, standard McDonalds (with 'normal' prices)and a coffee shop. The the food is cheaper and far better in the garage shop as you drive into the services. I'd recommend the bacon baguettes.
