Tell us all about your experiences of this service area.
Visited these services last week. The toilets suffer from the usual poor quality cubicles and stupid round metal sink with soap dispensers that didn't dispense soap and taps that dribbled cold water. This is just not good enough. I don't have a problem with these sinks if they work, but many don't. Apart from that I had a really nice breakfast, even though it was very expensive, but thats what expense accounts are for !

I am amazed at the positive comments about this service station. The male toilets are disgraceful, not because of the cleaners, who do a heroic job in the circumstances, but because the male toilets need expanding and a complete overhaul. They are well past their sell by date. The cubicles are very small; I guess that only slightly overweight people will struggle. The white tiling is aged and flu of holes where fittings have been removed. Paint has peeled off the hand dryers leaving them all with a quarter to a third of the surface bare metal. The taps are badly tarnished and seals look perished, probably a potential health hazard. I am guessing that the toilets wee installed when there was less traffic on the M18 and Moto care so little about their customers that they prefer to pursue a lucrative contract with M&S than give us decent toilets. I think I might start putting up with inconvenience and waiting for somewhere better further on the journey

I called in the services at the end of July this year, after having visited this service station for longer than I can remember, and was really disappointed to find the 'proper' food area was no longer there- called Food&Co? Now there is a Gregg's where I had an insipid wet salad. As I prefer not to eat wheat there was no more choice here, previously I have had bacon&eggs, chicken&chips etc, all proper food. This is not encouraging people to eat healthily and I feel sorry for the lorry drivers-no normal food for them. We can't all live on burgers or sausage rolls and doughnuts. On the way out I called in at the garage for a banana/apple - nothing there but on the counter were sausage rolls and jam doughnuts ! Some services on the M25 have a fantastic choice of diverse foods. I realise it is not such a busy services but it can't be that difficult!, I have always found the services clean and the area spacious and airy though. How about a Pret-A-manger, what a fabulous choice of food they produce!

Visited Doncaster Services on Easter Monday after a weekend in the caravan. It was great to see that we could park close to the building as my wife worrys about theft.
On entering the services there was a water bowel for the dog, thumbs up straight away.
We then went to Costa for a warm hot drink and a burger from the burger king. Freidnly staff, warm services and overall a good job done by all staff. Seating area is large enough and the tables were clean and tidy, bins slightly warn but overall would use again.

Went to KFC and ordered a large chips and onion rings. Waited for ages with no explanation or apology and they gave me a small fries even though I was charged for a large.Next I went to WHSmith for a drink. There was nobody behind the till and I assumed the woman who watched me pick up my drink and head for the till was a sales rep as she stood sorting crisps out. It was only when another member of staff came out from the back that she bothered to serve me. I then went to sit down and had to clear a tray from the table, as I turned around the cleaner said to me "can you not put that on the chair". How rude. She then left the rest of the dirty items on the table. Not even one member of staff smiled. I have tried to complain but there's no sign of a manager or website. Really not happy.

Recently on a trip north I stopped at this service station. I didn't plan to stop long but decided to have something to eat while I was there. The staff in the burger king were really helpful. I was being a little awkward asking for my burger without certain items and it came out perfectly and with a smile! The service station itself isn't the biggest but is light and airy and I found the levels of cleanliness really good. Prices overall were quite high but I've come to expect this from service stations, the same with airports. Anyway, would recommend this for anyone wishing to stop. Thank you Doncaster North!

I had had a long journey to skegness and stopped off at Doncaster through convenience. I must admit the prices were over stated however the pleasant service and speed and efficiency in which I was greeted and served made this only a small drawback.I stop at many major service areas weekly through work commitments and this was a nice change from the usual mediocre service I have experienced in the past.ps A great cup of coffee too !!!!

I have never previously been to a Burger King with no beef burgers. Then we selected some sandwiched from the other "fast food" outlet and eventually gave up wating for someone to take our money off us and left them at the till. The staff in Smith's were good, and fortunately they had some food...Never again. Once is too often.

We ordered 2 bowls of minestrone soup from the FOOD & DRINK CO. (based within the food area). The man who served us ws grumpy, e were obviously a nuisance. We could not believe it when he brought the soup ....one ordinary size bowl, and another tiny bowl. Both, however, sode by side, just half full! We pointed out that the larger bowl contained a lot more than the small one, and asked if he could put a little more in the smaller one. He refused. There would have been approx. 6 spoonfuls in the small bowl! We pointed out again, that they were not equal quantities, yet he was going to charge £2-99 for each...and, NO, a bread roll was NOT included! He offered to pour the contents of the large bowl into a smaller bowl. He was just bein VERY sarcastic with this suggestion. We declined the offer and went for a beef burger at another outlet, where the staff were pleasant and the value was fair....not dylight robbery! Avoid the Food & Drink Co. if you know what's good for you!

I stopped of here with a friend as we were on our way to Scarborough. We were disappointed with the choice for food because, as usual, you pay a lot for not very much. It was generally clean with a good spacious car park. This one is very small and compact and would be manic at peak times. We stopped on a Monday lunch time in September. You don't have much choice but to stop here because there are no other services for miles!! Generally quite good with everything you need.

Single site serving both the M18 J5 and also at the Western end of the M180. Not a large MSA by any means, but perfectly acceptable, even at the start of the Summer getaway.
General standards of cleanliness inside and in the car park were good, and the road surfaces on the approach and in the car park were decent, which is unlike a fair number of services I have visited in recent years.
The food experience is pretty unremarkable, there is one seating area, with outlets including Burger King, Costa Coffee and the usual servery affair surrounding it. There is also a small WHSmith and a Travellodge, both of which are accessed through this central concourse. Food is as always, pricey but generally seemed ok. I just had a coffee from Costa. (Which "Costa Lot" !)
Fuel is BP, which as always was heavily overpriced (110.9 for Unleaded, whereas BP off the Motorway is retailing at 101.9 nearby), but the forecourt was to be found as expected, clean and the staff efficient.
Not bad at all, nothing extraordinary. There is little else on the M18, so a welcome respite unless you fancy trekking onto the M1 or M62. There are no services whatsoever further along the M180, so if you need a stop, then this is the place to do it !
