Important! Read this before submitting a photo.
Before uploading a photo, please check to see if there's already one similar to it on the site. The aim is to get a broad selection of photos of as many different motorway service areas as possible - we don't want a hundred identikit images of the most popular. If we get too many similar photos, then they'll simply be rejected.
Please only submit images for which you own the copyright, or where you have the explicit permission of the copyright owner to submit the image to this site.
Technical Notes
Photos must be jpeg images only. The dimensions should, as a general rule, be a fairly standard rectangle in either landscape or portrait orientation - please avoid either very wide (panoramic) or very thin images.
If you have taken photos with the camera on its side to create a portrait image, then please remember to rotate it before submitting it! Every now and then we get an image that's unusable because the subject is lying on its side.
Photos scanned from prints
We welcome older photos of motorway service areas, particularly where they clearly illustrate any changes over time compared to newer images. However, if you are submitting photos scanned from prints, please make sure that you crop the electronic copy first so that there is no surrounding border.
Licence
By submitting photos, you represent that you are (a) the owner of the photograph submitted and and (b) the photo will not infringe upon the intellectual property or other rights of any third party. In addition, by submitting a photograph, you grant the owners and operators of Motorwayservices.info a nonexclusive, irrevocable license to publish the photograph and your name online, in print, in broadcast media, or in any other media existing now or later developed.
