Hi Adrian you can use this route no problem
matthew.embleton, Sun 7 May 2017
if travelling north, but staying at the Southbound services travelodge, what's the shortest route to continue travelling north - google suggests you can exit from the Southbound services to Hilton Ln, but I suspect that is via a restricted exit. Can anyone confirm?

Apologies for the delay yes you can regards
Hi, mine is a question rather than a comment. Can I park on the southbound car park, walk across the bridge and travel north with a colleague? I realise that this is more than the two hours parking mentioned below and was not sure if extended parking was an option or not? Many thanks in advance of responses.

I had such a lovely experience at Hilton Park. Fantastic services and lovely staff.
Elisabete Dias, Thu 12 Jan 2017
Stopped here over christmas as was surprised at the level of service received. Im sure the staff woukd rather of been elsewhere over the festive season but still were all happy smiley and efficient. Felt very welcomed and was taken aback by the level of service received as service stations tend to get a bad rep. Thank you for an enjoyable break will be back soon!

Just wanted to say, how good my experience was at Hilton park today. Fantastic service throughout the brands which I visited. Will definitely return when I'm passing by!

I arrived very tired in the middle of a long journey and had a great experience here. A snack, a coffee and a sit-down later I felt ever so refreshed.
Trevor Trucks, Wed 7 Sep 2016
That's brilliant. I love the new nutella flavour, it's very generous with the choice filling. Have you tried the Reese's peanut butter one? It's very nice, but it's all over in about 30 seconds. Nom nom nom!

Hi Matthew,
thanks,
I am planning another visit soon - do you have any Krispy Kreme Doughnuts?
Hi SamThank you for your feedback
matthew.embleton, Mon 29 Aug 2016
I had such a bad experience here as a teenager that I decided I would never stop here ever again. It involved a group of riled up Everton fans and a discarded Twix bar. I don't want to talk much more about it on here. Anyway, due to a depleted tank of fuel and an urge for some caffeine I was forced to stop here. Memories flooded back as I pulled into the station! I almost stayed put. BUT, almost like therapy, I felt alive AND I felt ready to face my demons!!! AND BOY I'M GLAD I DID! The Greggs was fantastic - lovely SBC slice (Sausage bean cheese) and fuel was only 4p more than my local Morrisons. Happier now.
Sam Wooderson, Tue 23 Aug 2016
What you would usually expect of a Costa but made unpleasant by the thoughtless behaviour of a member of staff and her oblivious managers. Stopped for a quick bite, a drink and a break only to find that the member of staff clearing the tables seemed intent on creating as much noise as possible by crashing used plates and mugs into a tray on her trolly. It was abundantly clear from her actions and demeanour that she did not want to be there and, after a few minutes of aural torture, neither did I. Next time I'll go to Greggs.
Nick, Fri 19 Aug 2016
Southbound. Came here with my parents. We have a caravan. On arrive the sign posts were very poorly done. Once we got to the coaches part couldn't find where the caravans were,as the sign looked like it was pointing to the fuel and exit too. It was only when my dad was about to go round to the fuel area that I seen I sign post saying caravan parking. NEEDS better sign posting. Also needs to have a seating area for greggs customers inside services.

Not sure this review is in the right place but i visited this service on monday 25 may 2015 at about 6pm. I have been before and had no problems. On this visit I went to marks and spencers, who had lovley staff. However i then went to Burger king, and was served by a young lady who did not smile, she was very abrupt. However i was polite to her.I ordered two kids meals, she got the bag for the meals and chucked in a toy and the burgers she then threw them on the counter and served somebody else. I didn't pick them up because she hadn't made the drinks or put frys in. I assumed nothing was ready. Anyway she continued serving this man after me, but completed his whole order, whilst in the middle of his order she chucked the kids meals at her coworker. When she finished the guys very large order, i asked if the meals she had threw at the coworker was mine, but she didn't reply to me, She then went over to the drinks machine and made the drinks, threw them at me they slid across the side. She then went to the fries station. the co worker who had the kids meal bags chucked at her, then took the kids meal bags and slammed it next to the girl who was putting fries in the fries bags. The co worker then stormed back to her till tutting (seemed like they had fell out, i don't know)The girl finished the order by yelling two kids meals, when i was stood in front of her and there was only two other people in the que. I said they are mine and they was slammed into my hands and i was sarcastically told to enjoy. The burgers was cold because they was left in the bag the whole time she completed another order, i had no time to complain as we had to carry on the journey. But i had to say this somewhere as i was very annoyed by the whole experience. I was not rude in any way to this girl, i said please and thank you. I did not deserve to be served like this, and for 4 pounds each for a kids meal that is no different to mcdonnalds which is almost half the price. there was no need for this behaviour!! Plus i would have understood if it was busy but it wasn't!
rebecca, Tue 26 May 2015
These services were fantastic great staff

I visited Hilton Park Services northbound on 23th Jan at approximately 10am. It was a frosty morning. We exited via a door in the 'Greggs' area. on a decking area just near where our car was parked. To get onto the car park we needed to exit the decking through a gate down a slope, I put one foot onto the slope and slipped onto my back banging my head. The slope should have been gritted or made safe. There was no real damage done on this occasion. I hope this note will ensure care is taken to avoid this happening to others.
Carol Taylor, Sun 25 Jan 2015
I stopped here because motorway at a standstill didn't move for over one hour and the traffic was queuing,I thought should I really bother.... When I got to the car park there were several manager's on the car park helping stranded cars well done when we went inside was very busy and staff were still happy we'll done to all concerned a credit to the company.
Sarah, Mon 29 Dec 2014
Came in south forecourt for fuel this morning the girl behind the counter I felt sorry for the girl all alone doing fuel coffee and trucks very busy in shop but she had a smile all the way down the queue that had formed well done caught a glimpse of a name badge trace I think there should of been2on duty to take pressure off her

I went into the petrol station this morning to get a coffee, I paid for the coffee, went to go out the door and accidentally dropped my coffee, the lady behind the till was wonderful, I said I'm so sorry and she said don't worry grab yourself another, she then shouted her colleague, "Tracey" can you just cover while I clear this accident out, Tracey slammed her tray of goods down as she was stacking shelves, looked at me, tutted, and shook her head, she then stormed off. I felt quite intimidated, I wished I had just said something to her at the time about me being the customer and effectively paying her wages, however I felt shocked, upset and intimidated. I will tell everyone I know of my experience at this service station, the management might want to watch the CCTV back and provide some customer service training to Tracey
Sarah williams, Fri 14 Nov 2014
Big lorry area and a nice man moving the traffic,a nice change staff very friendly,Greggs very cheap for a motorway services.

Mathew Embleton, Tue 21 Oct 2014
Travelling northbound from Cardiff to Manchester I left my mobile phone at either Hilton Park Services or Strensham. It is impossible to get through to either service station and even finding a number is difficult. Surely dealing with so many visitors each day you should have a lost property person/office. What do you do with the things that get left behind? I am so upset because so many photos were on that phone and yet I cant even speak to anyone about it. How can I get in touch with someone and yes I know I should have backed up my photos but my computer was broken? And it may sound silly but I really miss my phone.
v patterson, Thu 25 Sep 2014

Hi June Sorry to hear your comments if you would like to contact me at Hilton park I would be more than happy to discuss your visit.
Matthew, Sun 3 Aug 2014
Stopped for coffees on our way home,it was hot inside so we took our drinks on to the deck which resembled a local waste disposal tip, we got the duty manager and to his credit within minutes people appeared and started to empty the overflowing bins (one next to a highchair and sweep up the masses of paper, food, litter, napkins and debris strewn all over the deck area as well as removing the dirty dishes from the tables. Things started to look better and then much to our horror the lady sweeping the floor using the same brush swept the tables of the remaining debris, the staff then left and the tables were not wiped or sterilized. The public have learned not to expect a high standard from a motorway service station but this was truly appalling. We just left a festival with 40,000 people which was pristine in tidiness and cleanliness so how can such squalor be allowed. Would be interested to now who has the cleaning contract (Would make sure the company I work for didn't let them bid)
June Best, Tue 29 Jul 2014
Very busy but staff were very happy and I need two high chairs was in problem normally in some services a big issue. Your staff are a credit to you make sure you reward them we'll done

As result of my elderly uncle being taken ill during a return journey from visiting relatives, I can't thank the staff enough for all the help they gave us, especially Ron the first aider and his duty manager. They went out of their way to assist us getting an ambulance and stayed with us until medical help arrived. We were very grateful for their help and support during a stressful time for us.
Len Morcombe, Tue 22 Apr 2014
I used this service station a few years ago and said to myself that I would not return. However due to needing to stop we used this station. I was pleasantly surprised with the change in service, staff and presentation of the unit. The staff were very friendly and pleasant, they appear to work well as a team. The services was quite busy, however we got served promptly with excellent customer service. Would now make this service station my preferred choice in future.
Lauren, Sun 20 Apr 2014
On my visit to hilton park I was shocked to find that there was no showers for women, and has a female truck driver and not be able to get home everyday, so I was disappointed to found this out. When asking for a duty manager in whsmiths they called a male duty manager who then helped by standing outside the male showers so I could have my shower without anyone walking in. Please pass my thanks on to the site and the duty manager.

We went in today on the way to Liverpool for my hen do and I have to say I have never walked into a service station and recieved such a warm welcome! I don't know who's customer service was better the big giant help for Heros bear or the staff on the store with the bear. We asked them to take a photo of all 20girls with the bear and they obliged with smiles. They joined in our friendly banter and had a laugh and a joke with us. The site was clean and service was fast allowing us to get back on the road.
Lucy Harley, Fri 11 Apr 2014

I have tried ringing the services numerous times due to a lost valuable item and nobody picks up the phone. I am still trying but no luck, extremely annoyed at the poor service. I cannot find an email address to contact via too. Please get in touch ASAP. I am sure with prompt contact and with the help of CCTV cameras situations as such can be resolved much quicker! Help needed!!

Took a quick break, as travelling with my Mum & our dog.
This was the first visit my Mum has made to this services in over 30 years, overall she was impressed, its clean and good range of facilities. We took a walk across the bridge and although clean it is starting to show its age.
Some new staff on duty and all very friendly and again I was able to get clean drinking water for our dog. In the past couple of years I have had a couple of bad experiences at Hilton Park. Whether it is sites like this I don't know but by and large things have been acted upon. Its not perfect but its doing its best, however, Moto its needs to be refurbished
Gary Farrimond, Sun 26 May 2013
Very old services but were very clean staff were helpful and good choice
Liza, Sun 21 Apr 2013
I remembered this services from a few years ago, i swore i wouldn't return due to it's dirty, incompetent and lapse way of welcoming visitors. After a long journey to visit a friend in Warrington i found myself having no choice but to stop here. With much inner fighting amongst myself and impressions embedded deep within me, i took hold and went in. It seems there has been a positive spark finally shot into the place. Dont get me wrong, this is still no palace, BUT i can see that changes have been made and it's going in the right direction AT LAST. Cleaner, friendlier more helpful staff.I guess i have another service to add back onto my list of OK's , keep up the good work Moto.
Lorraine, Wed 9 Jan 2013
these services were very clean and the staff were friendly high prices but good kfc

Decided to stop at Hilton Park Services overnight in our motorhome on M6, NEVER AGAIN!!!! at 3.00am a man came creeping out of bushes to our motorhome, baring in mind its the middle of the night, he came prowling over and kept hiding behind trees, we immediately put the headlights on and he ran into the bushes. Honestly we were terrified he looked like something off Hills Of Eyes , never again am i stopping there. Beware if your parking overnight!!!!!!!!
L BATES, Mon 24 Sep 2012
Avoid these services at all costs - Dirty, overpriced and poorly thought out. If you do happen to get a ticket from the cowboys known as CP Plus just ignore it - there is no provision in law for any company to fine an individual, that is the preserve of the police, councils and courts. All a company can do is send you an invoice made to look like a fine and hope you pay it. They will send you various threatening letters, but bin them all - do not respond to them at all and they will go away.
Phil, Thu 13 Sep 2012
Took a break here 31/8/12.
Seems to be a feature of MSA on the M6, parking firms photographing vehicles, this happened at Keele a couple of weeks ago.
Seems standards are again slipping, sorry to moan, but my moan is in part on behalf of the poor staff that are taking the brunt of negative comments. Staffing levels are down to management decisions and to be frank this needs to be looked at all MSA. Nights are quieter I agree but those of us that work in transport and use MSA and are legally required to take breaks expect something better than what is offered 90% of the time.
Gary Farrimond, Mon 3 Sep 2012
stopped here on the 24nd july 2012.never ever again.it seems to me that lorry drivers are a last thought when this services where made.having a good walk to the petrol station,if they had to,and also a fare walk if they went to the main service area.unfortunatly i had to get a shower because i had been away for a few days.the showers were disgusting to say the least,a pool of water outside every shower area,so having to get dressed doing a balancing act,so i didnt get my clothes wet.filthy and dismal, nowhere to hang your towel or clothes, and no security at all,had to shower with the curtain slightly open to watch my clothes and other items.nowhere to place your soap,or any other showering item.i got the impression, that it was like shit,we forgot to put showers in for drivers,oh theres a cupboard, put 2 in there lol.and only one sink so only 1 driver could get a shave at any time.come on if your gonna charge drivers and companys 20 to park up,at least make the shower area a pleasure to use.id be disgusted if charging that,to then make drivers shower in such a disgusting dirty area, dont forget without drivers people wouldnt get there food etc, just because we are drivers doesnt mean we are scum of the earth.
andrew milner(trucker), Sun 29 Jul 2012
What an awful, souless place this is. Signs everywhere about being fined if stopping longer than 2 hours. £1.99 to get any money from the cash machine and petrol 10p a litre dearer than anywhere Ive made a recent purchase.Inside resembles a cold war East European work camp that made me feel as welcome as a refugee.I'm sure these places can be run better - I spent nothing and left as quick as possible.
Bill Nelson, Sun 29 Apr 2012
We stopped at the south bound services primarily so that my wife, who has MS, could use the disabled toilet - there were long delays ahead, so it was essential for her in case we were stuck for a long time.
The disabled toilet is the only one on the ground floor - the other toilets are upstairs but the lifts aren't working so any customers with walking difficulties were also obliged to use the facility.
The toilet is dirty and poorly set out. The hand-towel dispenser is difficult to reach from a wheelchair, the tap spurts out everywhere but the most damning criticism is that the horizontal grab bar - essential for a wheelchair user - is missing. This meant that in order for my wife to be able to use the toilet, I had to assist her in transferring from her wheelchair to the toilet seat and, after using the toilet, to return her to her wheelchair.
This almost doubled the amount of time she took, so a queue had built up by the time she'd finished.
This is so easy to put right that we can only assume that the site management can't be bothered - it shows a complete lack of concern or care for disadvantaged customers. We won't be visiting again.
David Frost, Fri 27 Apr 2012
Beware, you can be fined if you stay longer than 2 hrs and although it is run by a private company they get your details from DVLA and who knows who they pass your info to? I can see how this is legal as I have not given DVLA permission to pass my personal info to a 3r party.
What happened to the data protection at?
2nd this place is void of all comfort, the food is really bad and there is more atmosphere on the moon.
Andrew Davidson, Fri 6 Apr 2012
We visited Hilton Park Service South Side yesterday and had a very bad visit. We found no toilets available unless we crossed over to the North side.We Three adults 2 Over 75 ( 1 Disabled)1 over 50, went for coffee to COSTA, we where served COLD coffee and UN MELTED cheese and bacon melts. On tasting our food and drink we returned them to costa and we where served (after a long time) Hot coffee and new melts ( not melted ) the lady returned our money back to my card because of the bad service we recieved. My daughter had gone to M & S over the bridge as she requires Gluton Free Food and she said me and mum could not walk up all the steps so we looked for a lift and found they where out of action ( and for a long time by the notice's on the doors. We then found the disabled toilet and went to find a key from Costa the lady came and let me in I found the oldest toilet in the land I was amazed when I flushed the cisten lid lifted, I expected it to fall off the wall.On washing my hands I found no towels or hand dryer. my wife followed after we found some tissues, Another lady on cruches followed on after us. we then looked around to tell some person in charge to explain to, and I spoke to a lady in W.H. Smith she said she would contact the duty manager by phone, we waited for over 15 mins and no one turned up so we went on our way.We where not happy with the way you are running this service station as it connot be right to call this a SERVICE STATION if you do not have serices. While we at the the station we seen many people walk in here and look around and walk out again. After our expiernce we only wished we had not stayed and drove away to another station that is going to give us the correct services we expect to have on a modern motorway.Other service stations we went to have put in temporary services while they are rebuilding new parts and all services are availably.
You cannot expect to treat the public in this matter.
Your company can not hope to get away with these bad servies we have found
Eric Stewart, Mon 26 Mar 2012
this is not a complaint ,only a desperate plee to any one with information on the loss of a baby shawl left in the toilet my 4yr old grandaughter is heart broken because that was her sussy that she went to sleep with , they were travelling north on the thursday afternoon if any one as found it I would be so gratefull with any information yours sincerely mrs t bryant
mrs theresa bryant, Mon 26 Mar 2012
Recently i have stopped overnight at these services as i am a trucker. I will NEVER being do so again, even if i'm about to run out of fuel.Toilets weren't clean, shower was full of water on the floor, the meal voucher i could only use at the restaurant and when i got my meal, the fish was over cooked, 2" on either side was batter, tablespoon of beans and garlic bread burnt and as thin as a biscuit, in fact i've seen thicker digestive biscuits.Tha parking area stinks of urine. What more can you ask for from the services.
Will definately not use at all and do not recommend to others.

I pulled onto Hilton Park Motorway Services at 23.00 on the 31/10/2011. The reason for my stop there was due to failure of my alternator belt caused me to loose my lights, which made it dangerous for me to proceed. I firstly pulled onto the petrol station, whereby I used the services of hilton park & puchcased something from there. I also asked at this point if there was any mechanical services available on site as I was having difficulties with my vehicle. They advised there was not any available & passed me a business card for a local garage. With me having to phone for assistance I decided to call the AA to assist. I moved my car to the middle of the main carpark for the AA to find the car easily & waited for assistance. The recovery was a while & whilst waiting I used the main resturant for a light snack & refreshments. The staff were plesant & helpful during my stay & after the AA repaired my vehicle I was on my way at 02.05.I would of classed the visit as a reasonable place to stop until on the 11/11/11 I received a parking fine for £80 because my vehicle had been there 3.05 minutes. The fine was sent through by a third party company Moto employ to manager their car parks which is called CP Plus.Having contacted Moto Hilton Park Directly to complain about this, the response you get is well there are signs everywhere. CLEARLY NOT AS I DIDNT SEE ANY. Thanks alot Moto, you will not be receiving my custonm again!!!
Simon, Fri 11 Nov 2011
Called at the northbound site on my way back north.
Haven't stopped at this MSA for a while but my last visit had been favourable. I have to say that that standards have been maintained, toilets & communal areas were clean and the parking bays largely litter free. Food was good and friendly staff. I would say the site is ready for an upgrade but despite that an effort has been made and is being maintained. Will certainly call here again.
Gary Farrimond, Fri 9 Sep 2011
Pulled in yesterday whilst stuck in very heavy traffic heading up North, good to see lots of choice and variety, kept the whole family happy!
David Harding, Sat 27 Aug 2011
I recently visited here and stopped in at the Burger King on the north bound side, and after being stuck on the motorway for 6hours plus, it was nice to be greeted by welcoming staff. I was personaly served by the manager, which is quite rare in most places I've visited, he made me and my family feel like he couldn't do enough for us. Whilst we placed our meals, we also ordered ice creams to which he said just let me know when you are ready for the ice creams and I will bring them over to you, I have to say I was shocked to receive such personal service from a fast food restaurant! Would seriously recomend!
Razzi Botelli, Sat 27 Aug 2011
I stopped here earlier this week and was pleasently surprised. Its an old service station and could do with a referb but the staff were friendly and helpful. The highlight of my visit was finding out there is a Ladbrokes betting shop on the North bound side. The staff in here were amazing. I was offered a cuppa straight away and they seemed genuinely happy to talk to me and make conversation. I have the occasional bet but wouldn't say I know exactly what i'm doing but the manager was extremely helpful and explained everything to me and made me feel relaxed. Had a great time and a few laughs... well done Ladbrokes!
John Brabham, Fri 5 Aug 2011
Called on the way to be in the Top Gear audience, we travelled all the way from Bolton. As it was going to be a long day we stopped at Hilton Park for a breakfast. I have to say it was the worst and most expensive we've ever had, dry sausages, cheap salty bacon and a very greasy egg. We'll call at the next one if we are travelling on the M6 again.
Nicky, Tue 2 Aug 2011
I'm a long distance night driver, I have stopped here on many occasions southbound as I have no other Choice because of my fuel card. The staff in the garage in the early hours are rude and unhelpful I've never seen a smile, and today was the last straw, it took me over 25 mins to fill up and get underway again, it took 5 mins for them to start the pump than 10 mins to pay, as they walked past me doing this and that. I'll risk running out of fuel rather than deal with these people again.
Matt, Fri 29 Jul 2011
Stopped off on the way back from the IOW festival, it was very busy yet they still gave good service when I went for a coffee. Fairly impressed considering the level of trade. Some places just lose it when it is busy.
Anonymous, Mon 13 Jun 2011
Although the welcome, by a large lady was welcome, I do not appreciate paying nearly 1.50 per litre when my local garage is at 1.32.
My question to you is how do you justify such a difference?
I will be taking this futher unless I recieve a satisfactory response from your team.

I don't think I have been to a service station as dirty as this one. Northbound yesterdaywe found the tables dirty and cluttered with used plates and cups, the floor dirty and worst the toilets disgusting. Most wash basins and driers had notices "Out of Order". And no-one to complain to.
Will not be using this service area again!

I love this place, I have been here a few times and always manage to bump into famous people. Last time I was on the North side I met Orlando Bloom and then today I stopped in on South on my way to a meeting and met DIVERSITY!!!!
It's worth stopping just to see who you meet!

This is the first time I have used this site in over a year.
It was very quiet and the staff on duty were engaged in deep cleaning. Seems some refurbishment, mostly decorative, has been carried. The toilets were very clean and place looked overall quite good, the tea & food I had was good too.
I had previously stated I wouldn't use this MSA again, but needs must on long night drives. It would appear that some regard is being given to comments made on sites like this and or direct feedback.
This was by far the most positive experience I have had of this MSA for some time.

I am writing this on behalf of my mother Mrs Holt.
After stopping at the Hilton services northbound and finding the place very clean I decided to stop again going southbound...the experience was quite different, the disabled toilet was very dirty as was the rest of the facilities. We spoke to a member of the staff and they agreed, but also her answer was they take more money on the other side so its looked after better. This is really not good enough, all toilets and other facilities should be kept to a high standard of cleanliness at ALL times and perhaps then more people would want use them.Your member of staff also said they get alot of complaints and asked us to write, then hopefully something will be done.

I stopped on 9th October on Southbound and found my experience very different to all the people who only seem to complain because they have had a parking fine. I too broke down but the Duty Manager was more than helpful and added my vehicle as a visitor on the system to avoid a fine. I then purchased a coffee from the superb south costa who, according to their last audit, uphold the highest Costa standards. It was well advertised on the till, but why not. The kids visited the BK and seemed happy enough. The prices have always been a little higher than the high street but surely everyone knows this and has the choice about stopping. I'll stop here again. Thanks

Visited EDC on Hilton Park South today. I wish to express my appreciation for the great service I received from Doreen Dando (name on reciept) and her colleague, who's name I didn't catch, but was a petite older lady.
I only had a breakfast bap and coffee but it was lovely to be so looked after. The two ladies where very polite and efficient but it was the warmth behind it that made it such a pleasure. They really seemed to care.
Of the two options for my journey this will make me choose Hilton Park Services in the future

I know that Moto have an appeals process for anyone who feels they shouldn't have received a parking notice. If you or someone you know has been a customer, had breakdown or engine problems or fallen asleep and a parking notice has been issued, log onto the moto web site and get in touch with them, they'll be really keen to try and help. They also have a duty manager available who can deal with any customer concerns or queries regarding service and/or facilities before you leave site

The food from EDC looked it had been there since last august it was the dried out and crusty. They also didn't have 2 out if the 6 hot options. Thank god for M&S and costa they still have a high standard of food and drinks. In general a very run down services

A vile, dirty, non english speaking excuse for service. I was feeling unwell and tired so stopped as the government signs tell us to.... A FINE... for sleeping in my car (a lady driving alone) where was i meant to stop a small quiet country lane???? I wrote to the P.M and Highways and numerous other people including watchdog..... they decided not to persue my fine, well i was looking forward to meeting these greedy idiots in court. DO NOT PAY THEM.

An absolute disgrace. Do NOT bother. toilets are disgusting. Food is diabolical. I watched a memebr of staff picking his nose for 5 mins, then proceed to serve food without prongs etc. The food is absolutely overpriced vile.Jeff

I received a ticket from these vermin for allegedly parking my car longer than the allowed time. They had photogrpahic evidence. FOR ANYONE ELSE who has similiar. The onus is on the prosecution to prove that the car they are photographing IS your car. With so many vehicles being cloned, it is only possible to identify the correct car with more evidence than they seem to be presenting. Simply deny the vehicle is yours. Photographic evidence of your vehicle is not sufficient. They rely on YOU admitting it is yours.

Interested in their Definition of a Veggiebreakfast, which is basically a fattybreakfast minus the meat. No Veggie sausgage, mushroom or tomato. Just fried bread and beans with 2 fried eggs and one very leathery hash brown Not very imaginative....

I stopped at Hilton Park Northbound on 22nd March 2010 due to a traffic jam causing me to run out of driving hours. I drive a low loader and when not in the truck I am normally loading up and chaining down site machinery. A dirty job. I reached Hilton Park, bagged myself a space where I was unlikely to get boxed in by one of our Eastern European counterparts, who don't seem to have grasped the concept of bay parking, and settled down for the night. After paying my £20 I went in search of a shower but couldn't find one in the ladies toilet block, I asked the male non-English speaking attendant but got no luck. I decided to get my tea and persue the matter later, tea was edible; pie and chips, the lady on the counter made me some fresh gravy because the stuff on the serving counter looked 'past it' - I enquired again about ladies showers but she said she hadn't worked there long but it seemed 'a bit sexist if there aren't any', she did however point out the supervisor (who swanned about clutching a takeaway coffee for the whole time I was eating). After my tea I went in search of her - I found her having a coffee - to ask her about a shower to be told there are no ladies showers and that there was nothing she could do. I was forced to have a wash as best I could in those tiny sinks with the daft taps and go to bed dirty. I have a dirty, physical job and going to bed without a shower isn't very pleasant. I got up the next morning, drove to Stafford Services and had a hot shower in a nice clean ladies shower room. I have contacted Moto with regard to this issue and got an automated reply telling me they have forwarded my suggestion to the facilities team for them to consider when they next re-furb. Deep joy(!)

I had the misfortune of having to stop over night on the north bound side due to driving hours. I am an HGV driver. I paid my £20. I then went for a shower. At this point I would like to say that I stopped here some four weeks previous and the showers were not working. Guess what just the same. I then spoke to your duty manager, Di Huntbatch about the problem, She advised me not to pay but take it up with the manager Mr Paul Ruddy, but he never answers his phone. I then went for a meal, now about 8pm. Guess what no veg at all and very limited choise which looked dried out. Up to you now, what are you going to do? I would like a responce soon.

The buildings at this service station are a disgrace and should be demolished.

Stopped here 16/10/09 at about 1am, its been a while since I have used this MSA and will not do so ever again. I have made a written complaint to the local Enivironmental Health as it was appalling the state the services were in. There were little if any facilities on the Northbound side and crossed to the Southbound to find the facilities availible were none exisitant.
The area looks ready to be demolished the facilities though closed were is dire need of a clean but when using the Gents to find a dead Rat in the urinal was the last straw, there was no one to complain to.
I appreciate there is a problem for MSA operators with vermin in the environs of all MSA owing to problems of carelessly discarded litter, however, I would have thought this was a priority. Some of litter bins on the site needed to be emptied and attention paid to clear litter from verges & parking bays.

Hello, since when was charging overtired drivers that pull onto motorway services car parking areas made legal? My freind parked at the Hilton servicesearly morning to have a nap and refresh midway on a long journey - as is advised to ensure the safety of himself and other road users.
He now has to pay 100 pounds!?A ctv camera logged the car and charged 50 pounds for non payment of a parking fee? This was then doubled as the charge was not settled within 7 days!
The hire company that the car belongs to have now sent my freind a bill that they have paid for 100 pounds stating that he must now repay the monies back to them?
Do you think that people will bother to pull in when tired if they need to pay!?
Isn't it a legal requirement for motorway services to provide free parking facilities?
These places are often used for business associates to meet up and go ahead to meetings in one car? Would they bother to relieve motorway congestion if it was going to cost?
regards, E.Taylor

Stopped on the North bound services as our car was seriously overheating. Called the AA who took their usual snail pace to get their and now have received a £50 fine FOR BEING BROKEN DOWN. My immediate thoughts on my car nearly dying was not 'Oh, we better check the parking times'. I thought this was a 'service' to motorists not a money making scheme. Next time the car packs in I would rather brave the dangers of the hard shoulder!! Oh and I spent £12 in the bloody services, much more than the £8 day-light robbery they charge for over 2 hours!

These are surely services that time forgot! This is the worst place I have ever stopped - do not stop here - keep driving!
At about 9pm we went to the restaurant (South) and waited at the hot counter. Only when a few other people also started to wait did a member of staff come over, only to tell us there was no hot food available and to cross the bridge to North.Went to north and ordered a curry, told only hot food left was what I could see i.e. 2 jacket potatoes, 1 sausage and a rather tired looking cottage pie that must have been there some time. No thanksWent to Burger King, waited for family in front who ordered childs meal, gave all options, paid and were then told there were no toys left, and was that ok? - Poor child and family. I ordered, asked for comments card and was told the services didn't do them - think they should! Food was disgusting, cold and pure grease. Don't get me wrong I know this was Burger Kind but still! Meanwhile boyfriend bought a salad at Marks and Spencers, very nice but pricey and to be honest we really wanted a hot meal as we didn't expect our journey to end until midnight, started out at 5pm. While sat eating we watched a member of staff clean the floor with one of those machines, but the spining cleaner wasn't even touching the floor.Toilets - 50% out of order, signage directed us to the wrong place, and in the ladies it looked like there had been a leak and the ceiling was about to colapse in.
Never, never be tempted to stop here again even if I am busting for a wee!
Claire, Sat 29 Nov 2008
Stopped here once at the southbound services, at 07,15 on a midweek morning, and the whole place was closed! Never seen that before at any services, try and avoid stopping here normally as it is a depressing place but it is well situated for the first loo stop of my run to London so sometimes no choice!
Phil Cray, Tue 4 Nov 2008
Southbound services. Lift out of order, relax chairs out of order, tea machine out of order - ghastly musak - decor extremely substandard - the whole place as an air of dereliction. Once visited the northbund facility and vowed never to visit again - unfortunately my wife who is an disabled need to stop and Hilton Park was the nearest facility - will never ever visit again.

We carry abnormal loads,We stopped at your service area on wednesday night for a statutory break.3 trucks running at 12ft wide and 78ft long.No Ab-load bay,Irish and european trucks parked up wherever they wished(in hatched areas, around the fuel station,on the exit sliproad). We managed to squeeze ourselves into four spaces, all lined up together, leaving us space to exit. All three of us where given a parking ticket for improper parking(Improper use of parking bays).None of the irish or foreign trucks where ticketed. When we parked up,we asked the parking attendant if we where ok where we where,he said he saw no problems as we were only stopping for a 45min' break. Then when we where out of sight he gave us a ticket.Of course, when we returned he was nowhere to be found. My impression of Hilton Park Services,My thoughts can't be written as they will offend.Needless to say,We won't be returning. What a load of crap.

Stopped here traveling back home from Bristol
Despite the buildings starting to look a little run down the facilities were quite good, the gents toilets were clean
The standand of food was reasonable given it was early morning and the restaurant clean & staff were pleasent
Gary Farrimond, Sun 9 Sep 2007
This was probably the most disgusting service station I have ever visited. The northbound food area (cafe) was absolutely filthy. The children could not go on the floor of the play area as it was so covered in filth and food.
The staff were very nice though, shame they don't e,ploy any cleaners.
John Todd, Tue 2 Jan 2007
Excellent overall, with good clean lavatories. However, cakes should not be left out in the open air. Food was very good, though.

Hilton Park Services M6 is a 5 burger rated service area.
Your overall impression of Hilton Park Services M6:
You must choose one of the overall ratings, above. Optionally, you can also give a rating for any or all of the other options.
