What a great little service area - toilets clean, staff really friendly and helpful. I asked for a breakfast at 2pm and even though they stopped doing them hours before they were more than happy to cook me one. Would recomend these servcies, definately a cut above the rest.

We have been visiting this services for years and this year is the worst we have seen - on our way to the highlands we stopped 26th July - had 2 x coffee and 2 x sandwiches at Costa Coffee £18 + couldn't believe it - both the inside of the cafe and the decking outside were a complete mess never seen anything so bad - there were a number of European families and children I have never been so embarrassed to be British - (having seen the high standards of German and French services) - staff seemed run ragged no chiefs just doer's looked out of control. Return journey on 5th Aug. needed diesel £142.9 /Lt this cost, based on most of Scotland has cheaper fuel than England in my experience is clearly a money making opportunity for MOTO as between Edinburgh and Inverness this is only major services that can accommodated caravans - fill up in Edinburgh if you can. Food this time we prepared a flask of coffee and bought meal deals from WH Smith excellent quality and for services value for money - WHS is the only bright spot in these services. MOTO you must update this facility its an embarrassment to Scotland its always full so I assume its a cash cow for you - I know there is no competition incentive but for the sake of the non Scottish visitors it gives a very bad 1st impression of Scotland.

Well don't even get me started about this service station it was a horrid place as i got stuck there for 9 hours due to private reasons. for a start i arrived at 5 in the morning upset and confused as i have just been in an accident the police told me to stay in the cafe so i did and i bought a coffee and a bag of crisps (3.90) rip off!!! then i got told to leave by a staff member for sitting down... and i asked where i could sit then even though the police told me to stay inside!! well she made me go sit by the toilets on a window sill for the next 4 hours (a living hell) i went back in the cafe for my dinner and she kicked me out again before i'd even finished! apparntly i was taking up to much room i couldnt help sitting on a table for 4 on my own when the cafe was full. and since i was all on my own there they treated me like a piece of poo on their shoes so i called my gran 6 hours from there to talk to them and tell them whats happened they told her to stay out of it and then i said "please can i stay in the cafe i'm frozen and i've been sat on that grotty window cill for 6 hours now!" she said ok (at last) but made me buy another meal and coffee. when i'd already spent £30 on magazines, food, a phone charger)you'd think they'd let me stay in there. then after about 20 minute the staff were talking about me and pointing at laughing at me. which made me feel pressured to leave. it was so unfriendly and unwelcoming since i'd just been in an accident and i was all on my own 6 hours away from home keep in mind im only 17.

Most expensive fuel around and restrictive parking with big fines, avoid if you can.

Can't agree with the previous comments, I stop here most months and it improves each time. The Burger King has been completely updated, they now have Krispy Kreme and a lovely repainted decking area. The service is always a cut above other service areas too.

Going downhill rapidly. Tables filthy, left lying uncleared for ages. Appears to be plenty of staff all running around like headless chickens. Still trying to serve breakfasts at 12.30 with no sign of any lunch menus. The bacon and sausages look like they have been there for hours.

We stopped here en route to Inverness, and were very pleasantly surprised. We ordered fish & chips from the EDC restaurant, which was freshly cooked for us and very tasty. We popped into the W H Smiths too and had more friendly service. We would recomend these services.

The signs on the pumps need clarifying! My husband put several gallons of petrol in our diesel before he realised. The sign above the 3 pumps appeared to indicate all were diesel. On speaking to a friend her son-in-law had done exactly the same thing at the same services.

My husband and I stopped here on our way back from the airport primarily to use the toilet but as it had been quite some time since we had eaten we decided to have an early tea. My husband had fish, chips and peas which wasn't too bad, although there were only 7 chips on the plate. However, my meal consisted of 5 small cubes of chicken and 7 chips. The chicken curry was served in a small porcelein container and the sauce merely stuck to the sides of the dish not even covering the chicken. I took my plate back over to see the girl who served us to complain, fully expecting her to say that they had run out of curry and that she had given me all that was left, but no, I was informed that those were the portions they were told to serve. If that's the case they should be closed down for daylight robbery. Heaven help any hungry trucker if they visited here to have a square meal as I'm afraid if they bought the meal I got they would go away still hungry. We will not be frequenting this motorway stop again.

on 211209 we diverted from the motorway in glasgow after sitting in a jam for over an hour because of the snow we travelled the m90 not really knowing the way and eagar for something to eatand drink we found kinross services the staff were most helpful and very kind they made us lovely large cups of tea and cooked some nice food for us.i know this is why the services are there but their kindness and understanding made them a cut above the rest thank you very much you our stars.

Kinross is excellent if you have small children. There are high chairs, free nappies, free containers to heat food and a free microwave for heating meals. There is also a clean and well-equipped changing room. Outside is a green area with picnic tables for letting older children run around. For adults, the food was nice if a little pricey. I'd recommend it.

WARNINGthis service station is a total disgrace,do not stop here.i have had to park here tonight as my hours were up,first off, the staff are ripping truck drivers off with the excuse that the parking with meal ticket vouchers have run out so you only get parking 14.00 pounds.then i brought the cheapest meal of curry and chips and a coffee which came to nearly 9.00 pounds and the portions are quite frankly pathetic, and i then brought some of their overcharged cigarettes so all in all i only got a few pence change from 30.00.they definatly know how to use the government tacho laws to there advantage and the fact you cannot just stop anywhere for a hot meal or provisions when your in a huge truck.

I live near here. This used to be a good service area but now the food is rubbish and far too expensive.
