the west bound restaurant gone and replaced by arlos who no longer offer the all day brunch or pie and chips. Instead they offer 20 different varieties of burgers hotdog and natchoes. if I want a burger I would get one from burger king outlet next to them!this is the last time I stop westbound here now for food!

Hello, CP plus issued a parking charge notice to my address on behalf of MOTO Leigh Delamere West for overstaying. The signs are not visible, the car park was half empty and it was a genuine mistake. My family and I having been using moto services for the last 30 years and have spent hundreds, if not thousands of pounds at your service stations. If this charge is pursed we will never step foot in a moto services again out of principle. What a disgusting way to treat loyal customers. We are all very disappointed in receiving such a threatening letter, my elderly mother who was in the car found the letter and never slept for 2 nights because of the worry.

We went into Gregg's at the services my husband asked for a hot pastey and was told they could not warm it up I had a toasted sandwich which I handed over to be toasted I waited then was handed a sandwich which you could never eat as it was put in oven not toasted I took it back as I could not get the goo out of the bag I asked for my money back I asked why they had not put it in a toaster they told me they did not have one .I would never go to Gregg's again as the sandwiches are inedable

Oh bless - unlit motorways, what's the country coming to? I think you'll find that if you park in a marked space other cars tend to avoid you because they, too, have headlights. Hopefully your driving confidence has increased in the last two years...

Burger King - Leigh Delamere Eastbound - Thursday 27th 9.30pm - mess all over the floor behind the counter and a long wait for lukewarm food. Stayed in the Travelodge - loose WC seat and fan not working, lots of road noise.
A complete and utter disgraceful, dirty, smelly site. Bins overflowing, rubbish all over the ground and my wife told me that the female toilets were disgusting. We visited yesterday at 3pm and it was very busy but that is no excuse for poor tidiness and unhygienic conditions. If that is the external view, we can only imagine how the behind the scenes conditions are. This is a clear management problem that needs managing properly. We will not be using this site again for fear of contracting all kinds of disease.

Beware!! A group of 30 of us regularly travel from london to both South Wales and Devon via the M4 and until now have always used Leigh Delamere as our meeting point. Last weekend some of us were delayed so the rest of us spent over 3 hours there while we waited for them. During this time we consumed huge amounts of food and drinks.Those of us who arrived first and left last have now received parking charge notices. Apparently there is a sign somewhere saying 2 hours maximum parking. We were only over by a few minutes and they want to charge us Ã‚Â£140.
So in exchange for their Ã‚Â£140 they have now lost custom from 30 of us every second weekend times two visits.

I visited Delmare on the way back from Wales.I stopped for a meeting at the Services that lasted 2 hrs 40 mins during which I purchased 2 rounds of coffee for 2 of us, and breakfast x 2! Total cost in excess of Ã‚Â£25.I didn't notice the payment after 2 hours notice signs.Ã‚Â£50 fine.Not good customer service, I shall avoid MOTO from now on.Cheers

Leigh delamere west bound at around lunch time on a Saturday is somewhere I will avoid at all costs. The gents was no better than a jungle latrine. Dirty,smelly, no soap in any Despenser, water gushing and below tempretur, floors awash and so on I fail to understand how company's are allowed to trade at near manopaly situations and get away with such appalling service. Companies that trade from such squalid premasis should also take note as it does their reputation no good either. As for the so called motoring organisations AA,RAC they are not representing their members by lobbying for strictor and better motorway services.

We stopped at these services on friday evening while travelling eastbound towards London. We decided to have a cooked meal in EDC. The 2 men that were behind the hot food counter were more interested in moaning how busy it had been and how they couldn't wait to get home than serving us. We stood there for about 5 minutes waiting but they didn't even acknowledge we were stood there. I appreciate that they were dishing up orders but they should of spoken to us even just to say 'we will be with you soon'. In the end, fed up of being ignored, we went to Burger King and although they were really busy it only took a few minutes to get served. While sat eating I watched the EDC hot food counter and we were not the only ones who walked away.

Dear Graham. Unfortunately Greggs is only open on Leigh Delamere Westbound at the moment. If you have time during your next stop it can be accessed using the connecting footbridge. It is open from 6am every morning except Sundays and is open until 8pm.However I am assured that a Greggs will be opening at Leigh Delamere East in the future.Best Regards.

Hi i am truck driver who frequently uses your services, until thursday when i needed to stop for me rest period, i noticed the dramatic changes to the truck parking area, i am sure the person who thaught of the idea doesnt drive a truck let alone understand trucks leave at different times, so to put the parking area into rows doesnt make sence to us drivers at all because if you are in the middle parking lane there is no where to get out when you need to move off before all the surrounding trucks, i think someone needs to re visit the design or your truck parking area and maybe consult some of the drivers who use your facilities, i for one will not use your services again untill the car park is sorted out to be more truck friendly like it used to be.

We visited Leigh Delamere Services on our way to West Wales with our caravan on Friday 9th May. Moto have set aside some parking alongside the truck area for caravans but on Friday they were full of trucks. This has happened before. We just had to park alongside the trucks. Moto just aren't listening. We have written to Tesco about their truck which was parked in the caravan area. Might I suggest that you erect a 10 ft high barrier do that truck are blocked from using the area for caravans.

On Good Friday 18 Apr, I was travelling on the M4 towards London to visit family for Easter. I have recently been suffering from Labyrinthitus (dizziness)but was fine at this time and looking forward to a good weekend. However I was suddenly struck with bad dizziness and crawled my way to the nearest exit off the motorway which was Leigh Delamare services.I asked someone to get a first aider to help me. Out came the manager who was so caring - contacted my breakdown agent, offered an ambulance, checked me every 15 mins and finally with the help of his colleague, drove me all the way back to my home in Bristol. He was kindness itself, and I was so greatful that nothing seemed too much for him. I offered him money towards his petrol but he refused to take it. Thank you so very much. The person in Smiths was unsure of how to help with my parking needs but called the duty manager who, with the assistance of a manager from the restaurant, sorted out the problem. I was scammed by a man claiming to have run out of fuel at Leigh Delamere westward tonight about 1700. He claims his land rover has run out of diesel and takes you to Bristol shell service station on the ring road. Please warn people to avoid this sort of approach which is very plausible.

On Monday 23/Dec/2013 at 9pm I stopped at Leigh Delamere services. I was caught in a storm which meant that not only was I driving on the barely lit M4 relying on cats eyes, but also it was gale force winds and torrential rain & I needed a break. Mentally-exhausted I drove into Leigh Delamere services. It was pitch black. The car park was unlit, I had to put my lights on full beam to see where I was driving. The building was in complete darkness & CLOSED. I sat in the unlit, pitch black car park wondering what to do. The weather wasn't calming down but it was quite frightening to sit in an unlit car park. There were about 5 other cars there, & every so often another car would come into the car park, so I put my side lights on so they could see my car & not drive into it. I later wondered if it was because of a power cut but I don't know & there was no information. It was very odd. I wanted to wait for daylight & sleep in the car but I also wanted to leave my side lights on & that might wear down the battery, So after an hour or so I decided I had no choice & I set off again, getting blown about on the motorway.

An enormous thank you to the duty manager at Bridgewater services, who was working on the 3rd November 2013 at 19:30. I believe his name was Oma. Having left my handbag at Leigh Deleware and begun a terrible panic I desperately tried to call their eastbound number in an attempt to have it located. There was no answer no matter how much I called so I stopped at Bridgewater services to ask for help. The duty manager was excellent. He was polite, kind and very helpful, and thankfully he was able to get through to Leigh Deleware and locate my handbag.
So.... A massive thank you to whoever the stranger is, who's simple act of kindness meant that my bag was handed in. Secondly a thank you to the member of staff at the Leigh Deleware services who ensured my handbag was stored and placed in their safe, and thirdly a huge thank you to the duty manger (Oma?) at Bridgewater services, who helped me when I was worried and when he was very busy. xo

WH Smith employees are ridiculously rude and incompetent. They had forgotten to cordon off the shop area when closing briefly to change tills therefore not indicating to any customer that the shop was closed. They waited until I had an armful of items including krispy kreme donuts to approach me and inform me that they were closed, and then proceeded to tell me to put the items back (in a sharp tone) and then went on to actually take items out of my arms. It is not hard to simply cordon off the area and be polite to customers, and I am bitterly disappointed with their service and treatment of me.

Visited E-Bound service area lunchtime 17th April. No salads, very few sandwiches, and reason was the manager was off ill (presumably he/she makes the salads). No-one in charge. Spoke to surly girl from the M&S shop how did she get the job?!. Telephoned customer services a few days later and left details for someone to call me back - of course no-one did. Why am I not surprised. My experience of Leigh Delamere was third rate. Moto customer services is poor, just as bad as Granada and the only thing that changed with the new name was just that - the name.

DISABLED USERS, WESTBOUND. Please be aware that if you follow the signs and use the disabled bays at the main entrance you will need to travel the entire length of the building to get to the disabled toilets. If you use the bays next to the mother and toddler bays you also have to cross the traffic trying to exit the site.
INSTEAD - follow the road past the Travel Lodge to the sign for coaches (keep the building on your right) and you will find 3 more bays by the exit adjacent to the disabled toilets. (Check on the google map section here).
I really hope this helps at least one other person to avoid the long walk on a busy Good Friday that my Mother, who uses a walking frame, had to make. I had to abandon her as she was feeling too unwell to get back to the car under her own steam and drive round to get her.
Please Moto, disabled users are an increasing proportion of your clientele so don't just pay lip service to accessability regulations. Please try to view your service stations from the viewpoint of your users, trust me, we will reward you with our custom.

Services, aren't they meant so you can take a break from driving if you feel tired and don't wish to cause disruption by causing an accident from driving tired.I stopped at these services on a regular basis, in fact every week I have stopped there to get a coffee and stretch my legs so I'm not making myself a liability to other road users when driving home.I stopped there on the 03/03/2013 and must have been very tired indeed as I fell asleep in the car in the car park. I awoke and got myself a coffee and to me all was well until a nasty little letter dropped through the letter box asking me to pay a fine of Ã‚Â£90 but if I pay it by the 25/03/2013 its only Ã‚Â£50!It would seem that they would rather have you driving tired than doing the right thing by pulling over and getting a rest.I wouldn't mind but I have never seen a sign saying any time limit on the time you can stay there.Well that's it for me as I won't be using these services again.As I have been doing the same thing for the past 7 years then that will be quite a penny they have just lost out on!It wasn't even busy at the services so it wasn't like there were people queuing for the spaces.If I have over stayed then put a notice on my car but no, its easier to just drop it through the post and the worst part is you can't even talk to these people about it.FREE!!!!!!! PARKING is on other services so why not on this one the tight buggers!In my opion use the services before these or wait until the ones after so you don't something nasty through the post!

On Thursday 22 Nov 2012 I stopped at Leigh Delamare services after having driven for 2+ hours. I went into the Petrol Station area and had to queue for the in the very small corridor as the only cubicle for woman was already occupied. Lots of lorry drivers use the Gents facility here, along with other male car drivers and I felt quite vulnerable in the corridor as there were several men using the Gents but only me as the solitary female waiting outside the Ladies. I then purchased a small Americano Costa coffee to take out and two McVitieÃ¢Â€Â™s Fruit Flapjack bars which were on offer at two for Ã‚Â£2. It was only when I had re-joined the motorway did I start to think about the total IÃ¢Â€Â™d been charged - Ã‚Â£5.97!! This means that a small Costa was Ã‚Â£3.97. I MUST have been overcharged Ã¢Â€Â“ even allowing for inflated Service Station prices. Not only that, but the girl who served me stopped cleaning the floor to make my coffee and she didnÃ¢Â€Â™t bother washing her hands! Also, the coffee was the most vile Costa coffee IÃ¢Â€Â™ve ever purchased. I will never re-visit these services despite being a regular driver along the M5/M4 corridor.

A dear friend was mugged and beaten at the Eastbound services late afternoon 3rd Nov 2012! People need to know that the whole car park is NOT covered by CCTV and of all the shops within they have no first aid person and no first aid room....beware people, look around before getting out of your car!

Please explain to me why there appears to be a safe walkway with zebra crossings up to the services area but it is planted with trees with sharp thorns (probably Hawthorn) overhanging any walking space. You try carrying a toddler, a handbag and two hot cups of coffee and you'll likely end up with a scratched face, spilled coffee and a crying child....I know I did. Somebody in management actually needs to try to use your services from the viewpoint of your customers and make some basic changes to the layout. PLEASE!

DO NOT USE Leigh Delamere.After an hour+ of M4 driving your mind will be on going to the loo or on the meeting you are just about to have. You will not see never mind read the parking signs & end up with a nasty bill of Ã‚Â£50 for parking 3 hours 2 minutes. I spent good money at this place on expenses & thats the last time. I stopped for a coffee on my way back from Cornwall to London. I was feeling tired and decided to take a nap in my car. In the end I slept for 2 hours and left refreshed. A few days later I got a parking ticket for Ã‚Â£90. I had not noticed the 2 hour parking limit signs. I remember the parking lot was practically empty. As the motorway rest stops are for weary drivers to take a rest, is it reasonable for the operator Moto to charge for resting more than 2 hours? I don't think so. It's not as if people will stay more than 2 hours if they don't need the rest time. As Moto's remit is to operate the rest stop for a place for drivers to rest, it should live up to its remit and not encourage drivers to leave before they are fully rested by making a time charge. After all tired drivers are encouraged to stop and take a rest for the safety of all. Of course Moto needs to make a return on its operation but this should come from food and drink sales not time charges. I have paid the fine, which I consider unfair and exorbitant, but I have no intention of ever returning to a Moto operated rest stop for the matter of principle.

I stopped at this service for a toilet break and coffee, although the inside is very clean, the outside area of the Costa coffee shop was really disgusting. The tables were filthy, ashtrays overflowing and the floor was littered with rubbish. The coffee was good but spoiled with the surroundings, it was like being in a rubbish tip.

I stopped at the Costa coffee on Wed, the rain was hammering down. The Girl (long black hair from Calne) who served was polite and frendly. Got back to the car and accidently knocked my coffee out of the holder and ionto the foot well. Went back to the counter where the young lady helped me out with blue roll to mop it up and a new Drink. That young girl is a credit to your company, can you please pass on my thanks, not the negative feedback so many people want to give.

We stopped here on the way up too Heathrow and we had a toilet break, but when I was in the Mens toilets, as I was doing my business I was interrupted by the most unmistakable and vile sound ever, a man in a cubicle further up from me as I was down at the last cubicle, was giving it whilst Vomiting into the toilet, the sound was hideous when I could here it splashing into the pan. I must admit I laughed my head off when me and him were the only ones in the toilets, especially I could let it all out over the sound off the hair dryer. This occurred today at around 5/6 ish AM 10/06/2012.
You people have a lot of cleaning up too do.....Ta!

I have just popped into this service station to buy a bottle of water. Unlucky for me it was 11 pm and everything is shut at the same time for cashing up. Very dissatisfied as this could be easily arranged not to be happening all at the same time. Otherwise the service station is ok and I have visited it very often before.

We stopped off at the Westbound services for a cup of coffee and a comfort break.
The speed of service and politeness of the staff at Costa was the best that I have ever experienced either at any services or Costa. Half of the tables had dirty cups, but as we sat down someone came along and cleared them up.
I would recommend stopping here in either direction in preference to Membury.

We usually stop here for a Costa and a 'comfort break', but this time we needed to eat a full meal. We arrived Westbound at 9.20 pm and we chose the EDC over Burger King. There was very little on offer, and we were just about to walk away, when the man behind the counter offered to cook us fresh fish and chips, which he did. He was very pleasant, asked where we were going, and was not overly friendly. The food was very nice and, whilst not as good as my local chippy, I'd give it 8/10. Price wise was good as well, Ã‚Â£5.99 for fish and chips.
The lady at the cash desk, was equally as pleasant and whilst making up our cappucinos gave us a lesson on what a cappucino really was and how Costa keep an eye on their franchisees.
I would highly recommend these services and prefer to stop here compared with Membury, which I avoid at all costs.

Friends and I were returning in 2 cars from a weekend in Wales and stopped at the Leigh Delamere Services for a comfort break. Much to our surprise - since the west bound services were fine on our outward journey - the cloakroom was dirty with many toilets and wash basins out of order. Service at Costa Coffee was very slow, the tables hadn't been cleared and everything was grubby.
Worst of all the driver of the other car discovered to her utmost horror that there WAS NO PETROL AT ANY OF THE PUMPS!!!
This is not service however you measure it.

Whilst in the Costa main outlet today, a very aggressive, unreasonable & unpleasant Scottish lady complained about a leaking soft drink in a very disruptive manner. The lady in charge of the Costa outlet attempted to placate the lady who was behaving appallingly, swearing at staff & customers and being very abusive, making personal comments & using racist & homophobic language as well as throwing things at the staff. The Costa employees were being protected by the supervisor, who tried hard to deal with the unpleasant customer. Eventually the customer left swearing & being abusive. The Costa staff deserve praise for their actions, especially the supervisor, who remained calm and reasonable throughout as well as offering support to other staff.

On leaving Leigh Delamere for our bus last saturday morning,4 Dec 2010, I realised to my horror , that my wedding ring of 42 years was missing. Having immediatwely retraced my steps both in the car park, restaurant area and toilet and wash basins, I had no luck. I spoke to an attendant and duty manager, both of whom could not have been nmore helpful. I phoned back next day and the shift duty manager again checked and confirmed that no ring had been handed in. She informed me the maintenance person would be in on monday or tuesday, and she took on board my request for the outlet from the wash basins to the u-bend trap to be checked.I am sure that your staff get criticism from time to time, and it is only fair that credit is also given when due. I had excellent service and attention and I appreciate that very much. Well done. PS I have today found my ring at home , and phoned Leigh Delamere to inform them this morning

Ate at the restaurant because I thought it seemed like a cheap meal (Ã‚Â£4.99 or something) - then got a glass of coke and that was about Ã‚Â£3 on it's own (without any signage)!!! Next time I'd just buy something from M&S or eat in one of the branded food places.

Rarely stop at services if i can help it but was pleansantly surprised at the clenliness/efficiency both in the toilets and service in the restuarant on the Eastbound services.
The fantastic BBQ chicken and chips was a very pleasant surprise and there seemed to be a great variety of food on offer. I'd definately make a point of stopping here in future if I'm hungry.

Wow! What a pleasent suprise ,my stop at moto was. i was on my way to bristol with 3 kids under 4 and was amazed at how helpful all the staff were. they took me to the baby changing room and then over to the family area where i could heat the babys bottle. THEN i was brought a FREE jar of bsby food, a nappy and a disposalbe feeding bottle. a young lad from whsmiths store then helped me push my buggy out to the car, he should be given a star for customer service

I called into Westbound services on Friday night to get a quick drink, I left with a carrier bag full of shopping from WHSmith. The young lady on till has the gift of sales, numberous offers make a usually overpriced trip great value. W.h.smiths was beautifully presented and well stocked even though it was very busy all staff were friendly and should be commended

Well I am was suprised when i visited the Eastbound area last Friday evening 12th Sept, my husband and I found the whole place beautifully clean and every single member of staff very helpful and polite.We visited Whsmiths and were greeted by a young lady named Ellie who helped us find the magazine we were looking for. then Visted the Fork restaurant and were dreading what the food would be like but suprisingl is was hot, fresh and tasty. The staff were again polite, I spoke to one member who I think was called Sam and she advised me on wheat free food even going into the store rooms to check that the food I had ordered was wheat free. She and all the staff really were great and we will visit again. The Travelodge was very good too. so overall a good 10 out of 10.

I had the misfortune to call at the above Westbound services pn Saturday last. I was returning with a party following a visit to Austria. The driver need to take a break and the passengers needed food. We innocently called at the self service cafeteria where we were offered a verylimited many of very poor food. Not only was the menu poor, but the cooking was diabolical. Most of us opted for sausage and chips, which is, I believe an English national dish. If so I am embarassed by the thought that Europeans are offered this menu. Not only was the food poor, the cooking was diabolical. The sausages were nothing but stcks of solid charcoal. The chips tasted as if they had been cooked in second hand oil. Furthermeore, my wife, who had been served before me, brought her sausages back to be exchanged. This was done, but the sausages were returned to the hot plate for passing on to more gullible customers. I thought, maybe my wife was being ultra critical, However I soon discovered that the sausages were entirely inedible. In fact the only way to cut the sausages was to hold them in your hands and snap them. This was all at the exorbitent price of Ã‚Â£8.+. Needless to say I shall make further enquiries regarding this, since I belive that we are judged as a nation on oour restaurants. What must people think of us? John Wilcox

Stopped for a break at 1.30am yesterday 8/8/08.
Have to say it was very good, the place overall was clean, reasonable parking, the toilets in good order and clean plus a reasonable selection of food availible.
In my experience night time facilities are generally limited on most MSA, I accept this on the basis that there is less usage, however, it seems that some thought has been given to the needs of those that travel at night whether through work or general reasons at Leigh Delamere, I hope this will become the norm across the MSA network

Great toilets, clean, fresh and stocked with toilet tissues. W.H Smith store fully stocked and for a service station, prices were pretty good. Helped on hot journey down to Bristol Comic Expo.

Toilets clean. Although busy the staff was attentive and polite. The snacks were good particularly the Panini. Eating area not too clean and the door to the kitchen was filthy, that really spoilt the experience of what is by and large a nice Motorway Service area

I visited these services today on the way back home from Portsmouth, and I can honestly say, without a doubt, these are the VERY best services on the M4.
Toilets:The toilets were really busy, to the extreme of waiting for a urinal/cubicle, however they were spotless, fully stocked with handwash and toilet paper, and the area smelt fresh. It is nice to have a service area which has hot running water, and numerous hand dryers blowing out warm air.
The shop: (WH Smiths)The shop was fully stocked, and seemed to be good value for money.
The food:The food was exceptional for a service station. It was quick, hot, and not to expensive, and the quality was great.
The staff: All of them were extremely welcoming, and couldnt do enough to help you. They were clearing the tables, as soon as you finished your meal, and offering special offers in the services.
Overall:Like I said the services were extrmemly busy, I think I counted atleast 8 or 9 coaches in the carpark, so to offer great customer service under this pressure was outstanding.
All in all, an excellent service station, well reccommended, well done moto, and well done staff!

i use these services a lot i think it is the best one on the m4 no matter wot time of the day you go in you always get a warm welcome staff go out of there way to make sure u have got everything you need the main restaurant is always clean and well looked after toilets are always nice and clean carpark free from rubbish moto your showing the way to other services how it should be done leigh delamere your the best moto site there will ever be keep up the good work lets hope more people can follow in your footsteps
