Motorways and Motorway Service Areas
- Motorway Services Trivia. Another site about motorway services, but this time loking at the odd and unusual aspects of selected sites.
- Motorway parking for Caravans. A site specifically for caravanners, giving information on facilities at motorway services.
- Driving with Dogs. Driving with Dogs gives drivers and their dogs the locations of great dog walking places within 5 miles of UK motorway exits. Plus, some brilliant walks at some service areas, which are almost unknown (see South Mimms M25; Tibshelf M1 for two examples). All the walks have been created, tried and tested by two people and a border collie.
- Admedia. The company which sells most of the advertising space in MSAs (including the ones in the toilets!).
- David Lawrence, author of
"Always a Welcome: The glovebox guide to motorway service stations".
Roads and maps
- Multimap. Probably the best UK mapping website,
includes aerial photos and direction-finding as well as maps at a variety of scales.
- CBRD (Chris's British Road Directory). One of the best
sites for more information on British roads.
- Pathetic Motorways. A fun site focussing on some of the
less-than-impressive examples of British motorway engineering.
- SABRE (The Society for All British Road Enthusiasts).
Probably the most comprehensive site on the internet devoted to British roads.
Other sites from the creator of MotorwayServices.info
