What a rip off. They charge £1.22.9 per litre for unleaded petrol. We were low on petrol so had to fill up! At the garage it was £1.09.9 per litre like most other garages.

Stopped here last week for some food after a day of shopping in Maidstone. Got a Burger King, I had chicken so did my daughter and my partner had beef steak burger. Since this day he has been extremely ill with vomiting and diarrhoea, I feel sick and have been I'll myself and so has my daughter! The lady that served us was moody, unprofessional and darn right rude! No please or thank you either! The station was deserted and now I know why! Absolutely disgusted by this place and will be warning all my friends and family and never returning! Health and safety need to come and visit this establishment!

Very mixed opinion on this service station after my visit today. We stopped at the services on our way from Liverpool, en route to our holiday home in Spain. The toilets were not clean, i've seen worse but they were very dirty! The whole service station has an old and dated feel to it. In the LuckyCoin all the fruit machines felt sticky and not very clean or pleasent to touch. Getting a table to eat our BurgerKing was an impossibility at first, but after 15 minutes managed to get a seat for all 4 of us. WHSmith's felt too cramped, everything has been piled in to a tiny store. However this is where the goodpoints begin. The staff in Smiths were lovley. Now after an hour and a half and a greasy overpriced burgerking, we needed to give the children diabeties as well as making them obese from burgerking...So off to Greggs we went to spend some more money. Very small shop but a good selection of goods available. The two gents serving at such a busy time were doing everything and setting world records for getting pastys into bags and onto the counter. Both of them deserve a huge pat on the back as during our visit they were absolutely fantastic so a massive thanks to Chris and Jack. Now the petrol station. £1 for air and water was a little steep, but once inside the basics like bottles of water for the car to get us to our next stop were not too bad. All in all, would I reccomend the services to a friend? Probably not! But then I wouldnt reccomend driving to Spain either. I think if a company like WelcomeBreak got their hands on the site then maybe it could be brought up to a nice standard, but for now its very dated, with only the staff keeping it going.

As a female truck driver, i cannot believe that female facilities now have to be shared with the male species. I unfortunately had to park overnight at the services last week, only to be told that because the male shower was not working, i would need to wait for the female shower as there was a queue of at least 3 male drivers waiting to use the female shower. i find this practice totally unacceptable, as did many females who only wanted the toilets, but were faced with men coming out of the shower. I'm sure this would be totally inappropriate if the situation were reversed. I was told that the male shower had not been working for the last 2 weeks; How long does one have to wait for repairs? The fee for parking overnight with this sort of facility is unacceptable, will not be staying here again.

I stopped here yesterday with my family, and used Greggs and Costa - both were satisfactory and the staff were polite. However, we sat in the seating area between Costa and Burger King to eat and a male member of staff proceeded to organise an adjacent seating area which was closed. He moved every wooden chair (about 50) and managed to scrape each one across the floor instead of lifting them, which sounded like nails scratching a blackboard. This continued for several minutes. One of the members of my family had picked up a newspaper to read (other newspapers were available for customers to read). A very rude elderly woman came and demanded it back and said she had been reading it even though the table we took it from was empty and she then sat at a different table. The chair scraping staff member then loudly asked her if 'she had found her paper' obviously wanting us to overhear, and proceeded to stare at us for the short time we remained there.Having paid higher prices for buying food and drinks at a motorway service station it would be nice to be allowed to peacefully consume them. By the time we left to continue our drive on the motorway we were not exactly relaxed!!!

Had the unfortunate need to stop at these services on 16 September 2013. We purchased from COSTA 1 small coffee, 1 medium coffee, and a piece of flapkjack which measured 3inches by3\4 inch by 1\2 inch. Total price £8.07p I queried the bill and was told by a totally unconcerned young girl, Yeah that's right! Well I am concerned, that price was and is ridiculous. I do not know what the profit margin is but it must be enourmous. I will never buy a COSTA coffee again and I will tell everone I know about my experince.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of visiting Medway services en-route to Margate from Essex.Decided to stop off with the wife for a bite to eat.Big mistake!Unremarkable as far as Motorway services go,reasonably clean & maintained,& very quiet at my time of visit on a Saturday afternoon. However, the choice of decent places to eat are minimal & overpriced.Burger King is a shocking rip-off.£16.48 for two measly double cheesburger meals, regular & go large, both exactly the same portions in a cardboard box & a tiny paper bag.Needless to say,we walked off in disgust. This is daylight robbery.Avoid this place like the plague.

Toilet paper is far too narrow, seen wider till reciepts!
Serious risk of accidental skidding!
Glenn, Mon 18 Mar 2013
A special shout to Marie, the best flat white I have ever seen from COSTA, from the best barista on this side of Europe!
Irvind, Mon 25 Feb 2013
quick service in costa, stopped last night around 8.15pm, good coffee wonderful service from lovely young girl. Shame Greggs was closed when I got there though. Very quiet services
Paul, Fri 21 Dec 2012
Medway services is by far the worst service i have ever had the misfortune to stay at. As a truck driver i have stayed at many truck stops and to charge £22.00 for parking, which includes a food voucher for Costa, which is a coffee shop, i find it absolutely appalling. I will make sure i never stay again. I will also advise my many colleagues to avoid it at all costs. If it had a restaurant, or the burger king accepted the voucher all would be forgiven because the staff are very good. But the fact is they don't. I will be writing again to express my disappointment. Hopefully someone will act on this and make some changes.
Craig Broughton, Tue 28 Aug 2012
Stopped off here today to get a cup of coffee, found plenty of parking space. Free parking for 2 hours as well. Used W.H.Smiths to get a few bits, liked their selection of products n reasonablely priced to. Bought a cup of Costas coffee to take away, service was quick n very polite. Liked fact sitting and food and drink area was across the motorway :) also access from n to the motorway was easy, close n very quick unlike some modern service areas. Site may not be modern but was adequate for my use. Will use it again if down this way again in the future.

Some of the best gents toilets on the motorways! modern and very clean!
William Morris, Sat 10 Sep 2011
Visit this services every day on my way to work. Very friendly with the costa staff, and always have a great chat in the mornings. Although recently I have noticed that my coffee never seems to be served with a smile anymore. Perhaps something to do with 2 of the young girls who used to serve me are no longer working there. I cant remember their names, they looked alike though. What a shame. Agree with a comment below, I have more jelly babies and wine gums than I need!
Liam, Thu 25 Aug 2011
DISGUSTING, DISGRACEFUL PLACE!!AVOID AT ALL COSTS
smithy, Tue 23 Aug 2011
Best Costa for miles around, always pleasant, coffee always great. Much better than Cobham a bit further up that's for sure! And I can spend all day on the WI-FI!
Jean, Sat 13 Aug 2011
Use this service station a lot on my way to and from London, it may be old and the outside aint much to go by but don't let that fool you, the inside is clean, the gents toilets are spotless, and I very rarely have reason to moan, just wish they had a restaurant sometimes but the coffee from Costa is amazing, especially when a certain girl makes it but I can't remember her name! I always seem to end up with a bag of Jelly Babies recently though!
Lynette Warlow, Mon 1 Aug 2011
Stopped here twice on the way to the open last weekend, on both occasions they were extremely busy however I got served quickly both times. looks like the gents toilets have just been decorated, unlike the ladies my wife says. what impressed me the most is the staff in costa even knew how much a bottle of water was at the open so were promoting the fact theirs was cheaper! genuis!
Martin Litchfield, Sat 23 Jul 2011
We stopped off here just before lunch time on a weekend. It may not be the busiest on the motorways but the Burger King staff were efficient and it was clean. The lady in the shop wished me a good day and even the toilets were well kept and tidy. Lovely little services, will definately visit again.
Andy James, Sat 12 Mar 2011
How can they justify 84.9 per litre of LPG when I normally pay 64.9 at my local Sainsbury. I accept that motorway service stations normally charge a bit more than local garages but 30.8% is pure extortion. I will be writing to BP to complain as I am a shareholder and am totally disgusted by this type of pricing.By the way I had just come back from France where LPG is even cheaper.
William Danskin, Thu 3 Feb 2011
I had the misfortune to stop here for breakfast yesterday - breakfast as I know it was not available at the poor range of outlets - W H Smith and Costa Coffee.Avoid if you can
john hard, Sun 31 Oct 2010
I know that Moto have an appeals process for anyone who feels they shouldn't have received a parking notice. If you or someone you know has been a customer or have been caught whilst using the slip road and a parking notice has been issued, log onto the moto web site and get in touch with them. They also have a duty manager available on site who can help you.
Gareth, Thu 14 Oct 2010
Do not come off M2 at farthing corner if you are going to visit friends in Meirsborough Road if you are over 2 hours visiting friends even if you have not even entered their Car Park the cameras are just off the slip road and when you get back on the M2 they catch you again and charge you for visiting people. I have just received a fine for £50 I am not alone has anyone else experienced this I know of a least 4 people who have had parking charge notices even the Police who work from the site.
mrs tomlin, Sat 2 Oct 2010
Avoid this service station if you possibly can. It is a very depressing experience. The buildings are tatty and feel as if they were left behind in the 60s. The staff were uninterested at best, surly at worst. I was assured my croissant was fresh. It was not. Must have been left over from the previous day. A totally dispiriting experience.
Sue Connolly, Mon 16 Aug 2010
We stopped at Medway travelling from London to Canterbury.
Had a burger from a clean Burger King outlet, the food was freshly cooked and hot though overpriced and the staff were efficient and friendly.
What struck us though was how deserted and run-down Medway Services are. The place has the air of a ghost town.
Sue, Sat 7 Aug 2010
As an HGV driver, these facilities are shocking, the toilets stink, the shower is like a sauna room, no ventilation, the water is so hot it nearly scalds, the wet room itself remains wet as the drainage is no where big enough for the water coming out and the floor is not angled right, the water flows towards the door and anything you have on the floor. Over night parking is extortinate especially as there is nowhere to eat with your meal voucher as burger king do not accept the voucher, so all there is left is Costa, or WHSmiths.when complaining to the staff about facilities as I have done on numerous occassions, nothing gets done, they just pass the buck. Not Impressed, yet another MOTO service station that does not care...
Andrew Meaden, Thu 29 Jul 2010
Southbound side. The young man cleaning the outside areas was working VERY diligently and doing a super job. He deserves a bonus!!
Leo Boon, Mon 7 Jun 2010
I stopped at these services for coffee and croissants whilst travelling away from London at 08:30 Wednesday, 2nd June and was extremely impressed by the young man cleaning the outside areas, doorways, steps, car park, and emptying the bins. He was diligent, doing a super job and deserves a plaudit.
Leo >, Mon 7 Jun 2010
Medway services are not the place to stop if you are wanting a proper hot meal, as the services no longer have a restaurant. If however you live on coffee, snacks and burgers it is the place for you.I find it hilarious that Moto can sell overnight parking with a meal voucher, but not have any facilities on site.
George Culver, Tue 25 May 2010
Actually, it was land adjacent to the Moto that had the problem with rats but the owners have now resolved the problem and the rats have gone.
Heather Eilbeck, Thu 8 Apr 2010
Most disgusting place I seen. Rats everywhere. Disgusting toilets. Never stopping there again
Greg Thomas, Wed 17 Feb 2010
I thought that I had gone back in time. The furniture and decor look like a 60s cafe. The outside f the building looks as though it has not been maintained for at least 10 years. Peeling paint, rotting wood, dirty and that is what you can see! Toilets were filthy.
George, Tue 4 Aug 2009
For the only services on the M2, it's not bad. Clean, not overcrowded like others and a it's actually quite pleasant to watch the cars go by under the bridge whilst enjoying a drink. Unfortunately, like many other Moto services, it's been almost fully commercialized, so your subjected to Costa or WH Smith prices/selections if you just want a quick snack.
Alex, Sat 27 Jun 2009
really hygenic, friendly and cooperative staff, always stock and a nice view of the cars underneath you as you eat your bk lol.
Carine, Fri 25 Apr 2008
Nice cup of coffee and very friendly for early in the morning. Shame the Baby Food warming station was closed - key was held by a unit not open overnight
Ruth Salter, Mon 18 Feb 2008
Clean but looks a bit dated on the London bound side. Car park signs are poor, never seen this place busy.
Martyn, Wed 11 Oct 2006
Nice to sit and eat while watching the traffic go underneath. Clean toilets.
Malcolm Coghill, Wed 20 Sep 2006
Clean (but cramped) loos and well stocked shop, but appalling lack of signage for car park and exit.
Alan Basham, Wed 28 Jun 2006
A nice place, clean toilets but just junk food
