Currently the largest UK operator. Several Moto areas have now been rebranded as "Moto M&S" to emphasise the link with Mark's and Spencer.
Franchises found at Moto include Marks and Spencer, Little Chef, Burger King, Harry Ramsdens, Ritazza, Upper Crust and Travelodge.
Welcome Break
The UK's second-largest operator.
Franchises found at Welcome Break include Burger King, McDonalds, KFC, Coffee Primo, Red Hen and Days Inn.
RoadChef
The third of the "big three" UK major operators. Runs both the newest service area in the UK, Norton Canes (M6 Toll) and the biggest, Clacket Lane (M25).
Franchises found at RoadChef include Costa Coffee, Premier Travel Inn and Wimpy.
First Motorway Services
Operates a small number of service stations.
Extra MSA
Often co-branded with McDonalds, the Extra MSA group runs service areas that tend to be on non-motorway primary route sites.
Applegreen
The largest operator of service areas in Ireland, and the main partner in the Superstop consortium which has the rights to Ireland's Motorway Service Areas.
Euro Garages
A major operator of forecourts in urban areas and trunk routes, also operates Rivington Services on the M61
