I popped into to this service area for a quick coffee. The slip road back out onto the motorway was the seriously dangerous. The pot holes are more like caverns/ craters and I was shocked as I had to dodge my way through. I have since found a slow puncture in my tyre wall! Quite furious!;

Very poor standards especially currently- building work means the toilets are out in an annex behind the main service area. They are pretty disgusting and the cubicles are so small even a child would struggle to avoid brushing their trousers against the mostly disgusting basins. Not impressed.;

Husband is a Class 1 driver, needed to use the facilities (loo) but the lorry park was full. The car park security officer instructed him to park in one of the coach bays. When my husband came out of the toiliet his lorry was in the progress of being clamped. £250.00 fine which he payed straight away for the threat of the vehicle being seized. He told the clamping attendant he was told to park there temporarily (approx 5 mins he was there) was negative response ''I don't give a f*ck who told you to park there, pay it now, or we seize''
Absolutely diabolical.;

LFE is the best services on the motorways i go to this services nearly everyday on my daily commute and on my journey there are 3 other service stations none of them compare, they have probably the best KFC experience and although the toilets are not great there no worse than other public ones and it is a very old building;

I've read all the comments. Maybe it is the worst in the country but I can definately say once the new owners knock it down and rebuild it you will find it is one of the best services in the country. The new owners have turned around many services and forecourts over the last 10 years. Blame first motorway. What a disgrace. I look forward to visiting the new build which will be a pleasure.;

Late on Saturday night I stopped at your services. I felt that I must contact you to let you know that your staff on duty in the restaurant that night were the most pleasent, helpful motorway service staff I have ever come into contact with. They are a credit to your business and to themselves. Thank you ;

Toilets were very clean. Staff in the restaurant were attentive. Good selection of hot food available. Restaurant and seating area was spotless. If I had to find fault, the coffee could have been stronger. Well done First Group. Shall definitely visit again.

The mens toilets seem to not have the facility of heat. The water and the hand dryers are all without heat, and are in fact COLD. This is constant not just a one off condition.;

My son stopped at this service station at 1.00 a.m. one evening to take a break. He was tired and losing concentration whilst driving. As 'tiredness kills' he decided to take a break as suggested. He slept for a couple of hours and then continued his journey. A few days later he received a parking fine! Where else could he have parked - on the motorway hard shoulder?;

I have used this service stop for a number of years and have grown to expect a high standard of experiance when visiting. The last six months however there has been a marked change.The main problems, quality of staff, lack of staff and hygiene standards of staff. As a genuine regular customer I have not been able to find anyone on site to express my concerns so I will now no longer use tha facility, I might add that I have heard many other people over the last six months expressing the same opinion;

I had the misfortune of having to stop over night on the north bound side due to driving hours. I am an HGV driver. I paid my £20. I then went for a shower. At this point I would like to say that I stopped here some four weeks previous and the showers were not working. Guess what just the same. I then spoke to your duty manager, Di Huntbatch about the problem, She advised me not to pay but take it up with the manager Mr Paul Ruddy, but he never answers his phone. I then went for a meal, now about 8pm. Guess what no veg at all and very limited choise which looked dried out. Up to you now, what are you going to do? I would like a responce soon.;

You know half the problems with toilets at these places and at public toilets in general is down to the dirty pigs, that minotiry of the public that go, use these places and leave them in such a disgusting filthy squalor, blocked up with loo roll, can't be bother to flush their crap, and leave it all over the floor.
Cleaners aren't perfect, companies are not always right or perfect, but its the cleaners that have the lousy job of cleaning up after the scum that leave any public toilets male or female in this way which make me heave!
Mr Very Angry!;

The staff are unprofessional and you can't find a clean table to sit at. We were a school party of 44 students and 4 staff and stopped here on our way back from a ski trip to Colorado, USA via Heathrow airport to N Yorks. I have to say thet the "long-drop" toilets somewhere up the mountain in the middle of nowhere were cleaner and far more pleasant experience than the ones here. At the Burger King I was shortchanged by £10 but two managers and a till check could not rectify the situation. A promise to contact me never materialised not even after another call to them a few days later. Incidentally they never answer the phone unless you are incredibly lucky - it took twelve attempts (my phone bill will confirm this). This visit does nothing to make me want to use Motorway Services ever again;

I had cause to have to use your service area at sandbach on the morning of 3rd of march. I drive an hgv and the m6 was completely closed due to an accident. having a very high trailer like many other drivers i had no choice but to pull up and wait for the road to reopen.Upon arrival the truck park was completely full up so i had to use the coach parking area i simply had no choice. after a mere 25 mins your wheel clamping crew turned up and gave myself and everyone els a stark choice of getting out or face a 250 pound fine for release. at least 3 trucks were clamped in there drivers absence. I found this over zealous behaviour by your clamping team outrageous.wether they are a private firm or operated by you they still represent your company. Put bluntly i had no choice but to drive 3 to 4 miles up the m6 and park on the hard shoulder.Please excuse my grammar im a wagon driver and not a scholar , i look forward to your comments ;

We stopped there for a bite to eat, and although there is some building works going on, it did not hinder the access at all. besides, a waitrose is being installed, so its worthwhile!
I found the food appetising and it was a large portion. The eating area was clean, and there was someone always cleaning and tidying up. Did not use any other facilities though, but what i did see was pleasant enough.;
