A little treasure of a service station. Tucked away on the 48, not too busy. Lovely staff who seem happy to help. As with most places it could do with the road markings being re done

Stop here here on a regular basis and find every visit a pleasure. All the staff seem welcoming and friendly. They also have a nice little dog walking zone which the dog loves. Overall just a very nice little site.

Having thought that all service areas were open 24hrs, i was shocked to discover on visiting this particular station just after 10pm last night that it was closed. Very quaint (quiet!) little place, but a bit pointless in my opinion

The place was a disaster especially Christine in the fuel station. Nothing worked and it took about 10 minutes to pay

pathetic little services the toilets are smaller than my bedroom and the whole services are the smallest serrvices i have been in an i have been in alot and for god sake it was even the old line for the nm4 you can see on the exit slip road to the services eastbound where they have crossed out the number 2 and left just the number one and the bridge is ruff too

The Viewpoint is still accessable and the Concrete block that commemorates the opening by HM the Queen is still in the same place. You just have to walk up through to the original services. It is like a ghost town though.

While doing business in the area I called in to the services to purchase some fuel. I was met by Matthew, who in my opinion was excellent in his attitude, his manner and custom relations. Nothing has too much trouble and he was such a happy chap. Matthew is a credit to your company and you should be proud to have him as part of your team.

From what I know the view is still possible, via a footpath and is still spectacular.
Used to be a great service station, with a covered walkway and a tunnel into the main building which itself is built on a hill. You have to go up stairs to reach the restaurant but the restaurant itself was at ground level. The restaurant also had a conveyer belt in it which you dumped the trays on and it took them back into the kitchen for you!

The view of the Severn bridge has gone ! We visited just to see the view, which impressed me in 2000 !
Malcolm Coghill, Mon 19 Sep 2005
You can't see the bridges from the services. You used to but the building was sold off.
