Very nice service station, we usually stop here when going on holiday. The fountain outside is beautiful and you wouldn't expect that in a service station.

The showers southbound are disgusting don't look like they have been cleaned in about 6 months , all of the floor was a pool of water and I also saw dirty plasters on the floor absolutely rank

I found the services inside quite good however a 45 min stop cost me £600, thatwas the value of the goods which were stolen from our car which was parked and lock just outside the front entrance at 1pm in broad daylight. there is no CCTV nor any security. The duty manger was very sorry but could not offer any help. so if your stopping there, leave someone with the car and if your on your own be warned.

Avoided these services in past due to poor comments but thought id give it a go and what a pleasant surprise. Cleanest services I've ever been to. It does look like it's had a recent make over.
Had a cup of tea from Mcdonalds and sat outside on decking area over the pond and what a lovely relaxing area.
Will definatly be stopping here again

I have just purchased a pint of milk for 95p. How can you justify a price hike of nearly double from anywhere else. The old adage of its costs to transport is not accepted as you are on the motorway network. Also to say you have to stay open 24 hrs is also unacceptable as asda tesco and others keep prices low whilst remain open. I believe you as a company are profiteering and should be ashamed in these hard times.

I called at the southbound services on Wednesday 11th September about 08.30 to have breakfast with 3 colleagues having travelled from Lancashire to Birmingham. The breakfast was alright then we went to the toilets before leaving the services. On entering the toilets we found they were dirty and unclean. In fact they were disgusting. I have never seen the toilets so bad and will not be calling again.

Went to gents absolutely disgraceful and disgusting in the gents all the ubends in the toilets were brown had not been cleaned for ages. It was so disgusting I could not eat in that service station, makes you wonder the rest of the hygiene was like. I think I will report it to environmental health. I wonder what the rest of Roadchef service station are like.

I stopped here on Wednesday 26th June overnight in the lorry park. I paid £18 but could NOT have a shower because:
1. It was unclean2. The whole floor of the dressing area was at least an inch deep in water.
I would expect the showers and toilets to be kept in a clean and usable condition and regularly checked. This is obviously not the case in this service area. I mentioned the state of the shower to a member of staff and was met with a dumb expression. £18????? Clean up your act or think again on your pricing.

Clean and tidy services all you need when you want a quick toilet/refreshment stop. Staff friendly

Nice modern service area, with restaurant tables outside on a deck next to the duck pond, and a kids playground. The verges round the hotel (Days Inn) are full of wild rabbits that seem fascinated by the passing traffic. I've seen them hopping under parked cars on one visit. Beware the ripoff cash machine though, it charges £2 a pop! You can pay for everything by card and there's no reason not to.

Called in here on our way back south from Cumbria...only bought a coffee. Very friendly staff and bearable background music. Sat outside by the duckpond with our own picnic. The tables pond were clean, the fountain working and the ducks happy. Altogether a pleasant experience.

Just finished staying at this Premier Inn for 3 nights for an Alton Towers trip. The staff in both the hotel and restaurant were excellent and always smiling. Dinner was among the best fish and chips I've ever had, although a few things were sold out by about 10pm. Breakfast was expensive, £2.20 for a bowl of cereal. We ended up going to Morrisons in Stone instead. However, the Costa was cheaper than back home. Overall a great experience. Will definately be staying again next year!

This was one of the most recent motorway service areas we visited. My husband wanted to show me how nice the msa on the other carriageway was as he had stopped there a number of times and was impressed by it. However on the day we visited only one member of staff was working in the costa coffee place and we had to wait a while for service. We did not mind too much until we came to look for somewhere to sit own and could not find a single clean table. We had intended to sit outside on the veranda but there were no clean tables there either plus there were people smoking right by the eating area. The water in the pool was filthy, the fountain in the centre was not working and the ducks sitting at one end of the pool gave appeared unwell. It looked like it could have been a nice place and there was plenty of seating. After a while two other members of staff appeared and one cleared , but did not clean, the tables.

One of the best laid out service areas we have come across. Very impressed with the water feature and green areas which were very relaxing after a long journey. Just one note of dissapointment was the amount of litter in the bushes (some quite old) and cigarette ends under the bench seating. Do the management not have anyone designated to routinely go round and clean up? - What is with this country, we seem to be totally incapable of keeping anything clean and tidy.

I only used the shop, but the gentleman who served me was very polite and courteous. The weather was very windy and as I left the shop he wished me a safe journey in the poor weather - some people just "do" customer service naturally - what a great amabassador for Road Chef!

Excellent rest spot for caravanners. Good parking and showers. Disabled friendly.

The best services on the southern M6. Modern, clean, ample parking and surrounded by greenery. The only problem with this services (and many others) is the link cashpoints, which have a 1.50 quid service charge.
