These services are way to small. The BK is only staffed by 2 people or 3 at a push and the Costa is always busy due to its size. Inside is cramped, hot and busy and if you need to get some food you'll easily need 30 mins just to get served. Avoid unless desperate

Stopped here for lunch and the toilets with 2 children under 5yrs. The toilets were not particularly great but were much needed. We started to queue for food at Burger King, there were 3 orders in front of us with a total of 10meals. We had to wait over 30 minutes to reach the front to give our order (fast food this is not), although the 1 chap serving was apologetic and said they were 1 member of staff down this is beyond unacceptable. There is no way that 1 extra member of staff would have made a huge difference. Will never be stopping at this services again. Also have noticed you never comment back when anybody has a complaint.

Only really go here for Costa. Polite staff, good coffee, open 24/7, plenty of parking, can't complain.

Shocking Service Station - Had disabled Mother with me and after a long walk from the front door to the disabled toilet find that you have to go and stand in a queue at the shop to obtain a key for the toilet only to find it was almost impossible for my Mum to unlock it with her hands full with to sticks. The general toilets were disgusting. Don't think they have ever been cleaned. Picked up a sandwich from the shop only to be served by a less then friendly lady at the till - so sorry I wanted a coffee to go! Shocking what an introduction to Scotland in a very busy tourist area - really is this the best we can do. Give it a miss, dirty smelly and unfriendly.

We were advised not to stop here as the toilets were beyond disgusting but as children were needing the toilet we stopped. When we entered the toilet we were met with the stench of stale pish they weren't fit for a dogs toilet. I will certainly try and give this shithole a wide berth in future.

On way to Glasgow airport and decided to stop for a quick coffee at Costa, service had taken ages due to manager which seemed to have no clue of what she was doing and 2 young girls behind counter having a personal conversation.Was not busy but still lots of dirty tables and carpet needing a good hoover. Latte wasn't good. Think we will give it a miss on the way home

Just visited this service station on my way up to Aberdeen and I can't fault it. Although quiet the site was clean. My wife visited Costa whilst I went to Burger King and we both were served quickly and with an actual smile!

We stopped here on the way up the road from Glasgow airport on the way home from our hols...really wish we hadn't. The toilets were disgusting and filthy, what an utter disgrace for travellers from all nationalities to come in and have to use these services, I would be embarrassed if I worked here to have such low standards. We ate at the Burger King as the kids were starving, service was slow with what appeared to be a lack of staff, dirty trays stacked everywhere, burgers were luke warm and they had run out of ketchup, the place looked in a right state!!!! And to top it all off I had a very upset stomach overnight which I am sure was because I ate at that Burger King. I will give these services a wide berth and will not use them again.

Stopped here while waiting for family. Approx waiting time 2.5 hours.
Was happy there was a kids play area until I actually went in. OMG it was disgusting. There was nothing there atall to do or play with. The condition of the furniture was all broken/dirty. Not kid friendly atall. What's the point of this area then? TV in unit, but not working. Floor was so dirty I didn't want to put the child down.Asked a member of staff to clean it up which they did straight away, but still nothing for a child to do.
The service at the Burger King was terrible. Slow, the guy serving us wasn't interested either in serving us or the people behind us. Staff walking in and out and not offering to help.
Went to other services on our way to the Lake District that day and they were by far better and cleaner than this whole building.

Tried here twice in last week while in Scotland on business. WiFi kept going down with the manager not interested in helping the situation. Do not worry though, the amount of gossip you hear from the workers around the complex more than makes up for it. Totally unprofessional. I suggest the managers meeting should be held in an office not on the shop floor eating lunch with queues and dirty plates everywhere. Awful

Having travelled from Derby to Scotland I stopped off at this service station and was very impressed! The staff were happy and helpful and they told me they had a new boss (lee elliott I think his name was) and they said he was helpful
I never met mr Elliott but I wish I had to congratulate him on a brilliant service station

Not many services in the uk have good facilities for dog owners. This one at least offers fresh water and has a grass area that we can let the dogs have a stretch. So a nice services but not perfect for us dog lovers

Pop in weekly, left car in their car park an forgot to pay so was left with a fine, spoke to the services manager who kindly let me pay for the parking at the standard rate without any fuss, made me feel most welcome and was lovely to know they recognised I was a regular visitor.

What a cracking establishment this place is! Being an ex para - seeing the huge support the site was offering to help for heroes gave me goosebumps.
When we arrived we were greeted by a Help for Heroes bear who was posing for pictures with anyone who wanted. Every customer we saw had a smile on their face.
We was not going to stop for anything other than the loo's (Which are the cleanest most up to date ones I have seen in a long long time) But wanted to enjoy the lovely atmosphere so grabbed a Costa coffee and a bun with my wife.
The young ladies on the counter were very busy but had time for us and even went to the effort of asking how far we were travelling and got us to take a seat while our order was finished off.
I asked to see the Manager of the site, who promptly came over, and to my surprise asked if it was ok if he sat with us to discuss our comments. He mentioned the site had raised over Ã‚Â£1000 so far this year for help the heroes and when we praised everything we had seen, he wanted to make sure, in his words, "the real stars of the site heard our kind words" and brought over the Hero bear and the Costa lady who served us.
Honestly did not expect this sort of experience from a service station - Made our Good Friday one to remember - I only wish my grandson was with us to meet the hero Bear.

Not a good service station had dealings with a manager who was extremely unhelpful and rude with absolutely no interest in helping just trying to blame other people and passing the buck.. wouldnt go back in if I was paid..

Had to stop off at the forecourt as had a warning light come on the dash late at night. Pulled in and the gentleman behind the counter could not have helped more if he tried. Advised me that there is free wifi in the main building and if I spoke to a manager they may have online acess. He called the manager and advised him I would be walking over. i was greeted by a lovely chap who had a bit of knowledge on cars and helped assure me was not a critical fault but gave clear directions to a local garage if I was worried.Thanks for the help - oh and the coffee was spot on too.Terry D

My first experience of Costa here was one I'll never forget . What would have been a totally misunderstanding turned into a eye opening experience . Cutting long story my son was given too much change and was virtually accused of stealing . Her attitude was atrocious shouting at my son who has learning difficulties he got extremely upset.customers in the queue left because of her attitude. So my advice steer clear , if you want a quiet coffee don't go there and if you do check your change even when it's their mistake it's not their fault .

Been stopping here for years now and it is getting worse with each visit. The only saving grace is the Costa area but then again the service is slow, the area behind the counter messy and the tables left with previous cups, plates etc.I have not been able to get the wifi to work previously and again I tried. Again no success and when I asked at the shop I was met with a shrug of the girls shoulders. I asked if anyone else could help and just got a shake of the head and a blunt no. Asked for a help line number and again the same response.Customer service - shamefully badGeneral areas - scruffy and not kept clear or clean.Avoid if possible

Stopped here a few times now and other than being asked if I would like some sort of additional item at every department I visit I can say was a lovely experience.Food as expected, coffee to die for and a smile on 99% of the staff faces. Lovely to see. One suggestion though, EDC closes overnight and leaves just costa and WHSmiths open - as a trucker would love to see 24 plated meals.

Visited with my family on Saturday 26th October 2013 just before 7pm. I don't usually leave reviews but wanted to warn others not to expect high standards here. Very disappointed. Ladies' Toilets were very smelly. The Burger King's food wasn't up to the standard of other Burger Kings I've visited and they don't accept the printable vouchers. Layout wasn't brilliant. Smokers were hanging around the front door. I won't be taking my family there again!

had the unfortunate pleasure of filling up my classic car at the service station on 21july at 11am.firstly fuel; price for unleaded was 1.45/litre a rip off.put Ã‚Â£50 into tank which was on empty.next i got home and car broke down.found the cause .contaminated fuel.luckily it has a carb.so removed float bowl and took a sample of fuel which was cloudy and split into 2 levels with lots of crap floating about.i phoned to inform them but alas im the only one to have complained.anyway car back working again with some real fuel.will avoid like the plague from now on.

Never normally comment but as a nation we are quick to moan. Stopped here over the last three weekends and i must say the level of customer service here has been quite fantastic. My wife was very poorly and the staff were so Helpful. Not sure who it was I spoke to but thenk you to the chap in whs for helping. I think people can be quick to complain and make out something is worse when in reality the people care and go above and behyond tue call of duty. Thank you all

Stopped here about 7 weeks ago on way down to Carlisle. The service by staff at the hot food counter was appalling. We had arrived at about 1.30pm and most of the food was finished and what they did have left looked like it had been there since the day before. The toilets were smelly and there was a lack of toilet paper. We however gave it the benefit of doubt and decided to use the services again Saturday past. What a mistake that was!!! Again the staff were unhelpful and the food was bad or they didnÃ¢Â€Â™t have any left. They took our order and then wandered off leaving us standing there for about 10 minutes. One member of staff couldnÃ¢Â€Â™t work the till and starting shouting at another member of staff who had gone into the kitchen. On a plus side, the toilets had paper!! Overall I would not recommend these services and I will not be using them again. Appalling service and appalling staff! Feel they need to be reminded that they can smile and manners are free!!

Stopped here on the friday before bank holiday with my passangers on coach. must say never seen such good service on a busy day. All my passengers were served in double quick time. Thank you to all there for making my job as a coach driver easier and giving me happy cpeople in return.

my husband had to make an emergency trip fro England to North Scotland and back again following a serious accident sustained by a relative. Due to the distance he was travelling he had to pull in for a couple of hours sleep, which once asleep he woke up 4 hours later. Unbeknown to him if staying for 4 hours he should have paid to park there. He had not seen the payment signs anywhere and it was dark, pouring with rain and the area was badly lit. Safety was the most important thing on his mind, not wanting to cause a massie pile up from having an accident himself!!! It was extremely suprising to have the Ã‚Â£50 fine notice for staying in the car park for 4 hours. In this economic time where Scotland are surely crying out for tourists to visit and spend some money to keep there economy afloat, I cannot understand why they would want to penalise people for wanting to visit their country!! I agree with a previous post, surely the most important thing is to encourage safety on the roads, and that people pull in for asleep as advertised on many places re: driver fatigue. I think it is absolutely SHAMEFUL!!

This place is hellish! I stopped off here at 7pm a few nights ago on my way home from a hillwalking trip to Knoydart. I walked into the gents toilets and I immediately was struck by a foul, acrid smell. I was then propositioned by an old guy at the urinals who exposed himself to me. This place is really something else!!!

As a keen pike fisherman from scotland i do lots of traveling around the lochs as we have some of the best pike waters in britain,As i was coming home from a long drive from fort william to edinburgh was feeling very tired so i deciced to pull over and have a rest as i have done many times before..i nodded off and woke up 2 and a half hours later and drove home,Now they have sent me a fine for Ã‚Â£120 due to me ignoring the first one Can i please point out that this is a service station for people feeling TIRED etc the road safety on overheads and on radio Always tell you to take a sleep if driving long distances and the police would tell you that to but these idiots say if your still tired after 2 hrs drive take the chance of crashing on your way home or pay us money!!!!!!,i know CPC plus have been operating in lots of other car parks but its such a shame stirling have got these money making clowns in!!!!! if you get one of these contact WATCHDOG for advice, can say i've used theses services for years but wont be ever again!!!!

This Service was absolutly disgusting, the toilets smelled awful, the cleaner in the toilets was reeking of stale beer. I went into the shop and the young blonde kept shouting swearing calling everyone pal as if they were a dog. i asked her a question and all it seemed to do was go in one ear and out the other. As i was being served no attention was being giving to me as she was talking to someone about her shifts and having to do nightshift which i dont think she was pleased about. I certainly wont be rushing back to these services.

We use this service station a lot on our way to loch lomond. When we were in the shop today we seen they had on offer small cabin luggage bags on display was a pink one and black one. When we asked if they had any more black ones in the shop the reply was no when we asked if we could buy the one on display we were told no aswell!this must be the only shop that doesn't sell items on display!so they lost out on a sale.do they just bin all items on display?I think not!

Hi, Just read the last comment and my experience today was the opposite. Ok I had to wait in a queue for my burger, but once i got to the front I was served quickly, the young lad who served me was pleasant, apologising for the delay, and the food was excellent, although yes a bit pricey, but it's a motorway services so just what I would expect.
I went to leave and realised I had lost my keys to my car, they had been on the tray so figured I'd thrown them in the bin with the rest of the rubbish. The girl in the burger king couldn't have been more helpful, she emptied the rubbish for me, found the keys and even washed them before giving them back. She definitely did more than her job description.
So I would just like to thank the girl, I didn't get her name, for her help, and also say keep up the good work to the rest of the staff there.

Dreadful service and food at Burger King. Ordered 4 meals- eveything got chucked in a bag together - chips upside down. Staff had poor attitude - shrugging shoulders when requesting meals be put in separate bags- we ended up sorting everything out ourselves. Fries / burgers were not usual BK standard - greasy. Be warned - DO NOT USE!!

On my way back from Glasgow after a night spent seeing snow patrol and staying over we stopped on our way home to Dundee. I got a toastie and cup of tea, while my friend got a burger King. I,as in a bit of a rush and being a bit dizzy.....left my purse with all my bank cards etc but didnt realise till I got home. After near stripping the car down I thought to phone your services. A lovely lady went and checked. It was there!!. They assured me they would put it in the safe. Having 2 year old twins gets me up at odd hours so at 03:30 we all bundled into the car and set off....me thinking to avoid traffic and get the driving out of the way. I was met with a smile and a cheery lady(didn't catch her name), had black hair and had been on since 11pm. She got my purse, I got a cup of tea and made my way back to Dundee. I want to praise your staff for their pleasant manner(especially the black haired lady!!. I, as a nurse do nights and know that around 04:30 I'm less than 'bubbly'. Stopped here several times but this may the last time! After ordering my meal and picking the nozzle of the coke machine out of my drink, I had occasion to complain about the undercooked chips and the grizzle in the steak pie which I left along with another piece of the coke machine in the bottom of my cup. All I got was sorry! - No offer of refund or another meal. I telephoned Moto's number from the board at the entrance to complain and got Sorry offices closed and only open at......They state on every table that if you are not entirely satisfied what they will do. Obviously not. Then I tried completing their questionaire on line and after 10 minutes of typing and completing their form I hit the send button and it was rejected and came back blank. Hence this comment on this site hoping that someone from Moto will read it.

NOt long ago I stopped here on a drive from Glasgow to Aberdeen for something to eat, the Burger King here is quite a rip off eg an individual hamburger is Ã‚Â£2.99! So I turned round got back into my car an continued to the McDonalds at the Broxden Roundabout and got a quarter pounder with cheese meal for Ã‚Â£3.49!

These services are based upon a single site at a major junction of the M9 motorway and the A80 (Glasgow - Central Belt road). I found the access to the site to be quite awkward, and you need to have your wits about you when negotiating the seven exit roundabout when approaching this M.S.A.
As services go, Stirling does nothing particularly wrong, but nothing particularly exciting either. There is a main car park (which was quite full, especially with campervans and caravans, everyone parks together with the exception of H.G.V's). Then there are three separate buildings, which included a tourist information office, which seemed very busy. There was also a Travellodge (ok for a stopover, I guess, but there must be more viable options in one of the many neighbouring towns). Then of course there was the usual concourse of eateries, shop, toilets etc.
Food choices included Burger King, Costa Coffee and the usual hot meal canteen type affair. Having brought my own sandwiches, I opted to buy an Americano from Costa (regular size, Ã‚Â£2.39) which was adequate. I always make the mistake of buying a bigger coffee than I really need, so maybe next time I'll plump for the small option. As it was reasonably sunny, I chose to sit outside at one of the tables at the front. Although it was pleasant enough, eating there would not have been for me, as it was the area where smokers tended to congregate.
Toilet facilities were again fine, nothing wrong, nothing to make me feel particularly impressed. They did what they said on the tin !
To sum up, Stirling M.S.A. is an unremarkable place to spend half an hour, but if you need a break then you could do a lot worse. And a word of warning, if you are heading for Glasgow in the next year or so, then I suggest that you make a stop at Stirling, as major roadworks on the A80 caused me significant delays (over 2 hours to get 20 miles), so don't try and put off answering that call of nature until you get to Glasgow or beyond !!

This is advertised as family friendly and to a certain extent it is. There is a park in a fenced area although there were a large number of wasps. However there is only one picnic table which seems to be in permanent use by smokers. We tried to sit on the grass but it was covered in dog excrement. Nowhere else to eat as we were not allowed to eat our own in restaurant so had the usual nightmare of trying to feed young child and baby in car. There are 2 baby changing facilities, one in the disabled toilet the other in the ladies toilet. No separate room for feeding baby.
