I'm sure that the inside is clean, but outside I have rarely seen anywhere so disgusting and covered with litter. This is probably the first service station that many drivers from Europe stop at when entering our country - what a welcome! There were WEEKS if not months of litter around the edge of the Shell station, surely staff should be picking up litter several times per day?
Neil Kerridge, Tue 23 Feb 2016
Stopped for a coffee after an early morning return ferry from France and everything was closed. Stop 24 my a**e.

What a ridicules lorry park who ever invented the barrier entry system is totally incompetent sun shining on the screen makes it impossible to enter Then screamed at by some idiot sopposed to be a manager frustrated by their own invention I expect only stayed 45 mins to change money and again served by the same manager with no idea in customer service just grunted and rude poor staff must hate working under such imbosiles Couldn't wait to leave But couldn't get out the park had to return to get a ticket what a waste of paper. Avoid this place it isn't lorry driver friendly
Stobart lorry driver, Fri 25 Jul 2014

Went into the Coffee shop our usual stop the other day (Tuesday)and was sereved by a young lady must say she has a terrible attitude and very bad manners such a shame we wont be back :(
Annie and Bert, Wed 2 Jul 2014
Entering from the A20 pretty much put off by the volume of rubbish and mess around the site. Trucks half parked on verges, rubbish everywhere, and dangerous to, with trailers half parked on the walkway an half in the road. Appalled at the mess left and destruction of the landscape by truckers next to this purpose built site.

Been a regular customer for a while visiting a couple nights a week for a meal and freshen up but who ever is running this place are real crooks and have no idea what's so ever in running a lorry park , there is no thought or care in looking after the drivers needs the place is run by greedy management having the aldasity to now charge for showers and £20.00 to have a short break considering the place is mainly used by truck drivers they have no idea about the haulage business Us truck drivers are a knot community and many of my fellow drivers will refuse to use this lorry park. RIP. Stop 24
Truck driver, Thu 22 May 2014
Nice and clean, with good service, but OMG, it is a ghost building! nothing almost!
Tristan, Fri 2 May 2014
Hey was at the service station saturday 12th april and think i may have lost my camera either at this service station or the euro tunnel service station it was a black panosonic camera in a black case with few pictures on. Where can i find contact info for the euro tunnel service station?
holly morrison, Fri 18 Apr 2014
STOP 24, the name would suggest a service station open 24 hrs! Called in at about 10.30pm for snack meal on way back from France, everything CLOSED!Whoever owns this place should be embarrassed, it's nothing more than a very poor truck stop!A good truck stop would have a truckers cafe. There are signs on the motorway with symbols for food advertising KFC, SUBWAY and others along with name of services, STOP 24! Should be prosecuted under trade descriptions act!
Andy Harman, Sun 9 Feb 2014
Well we've never had a bad experience at the Coffee shop all ways found the staff to be professional and the food is all ways good, but they have some new staff so perhaps might have been them confused but that happens most places until people get used their new work place, any way we are regulars and all ways will be keep up the good work, see you tomorrow :)
Brian & Keith, Sat 14 Dec 2013
As for the coffee shop I agree, confused staff, terrible service, Bad coffee, Awful food, Not worth stopping for and a lot wont again, You cant give everyone a free meal that does not like it they will end up with heart failure with all the fat. will be closed if that happens

With reference to the comment below me and my pal have been going to the coffee shop for a long time and never had a bad breakfast in fact they've all ways been really good and the price is fantastic for a motorway services, anyway we think the breakfast's are great and go in there most days.

Hi Simon. Firstly, I'd like to apologise for your recent experience at Real Cafeco. The service you received was not of our usual standard. Would you please allow me to invite you back for a breakfast? (On the House, of course). We regularly get great reviews and was shocked to read your review. I would like to take this opportunity to restore your opinion of us. Tracy. RM.

Went to burger 100 for the first and last time service was a joke and the food was worse I think I ll be lucky if I don't get the trots

KFC food was terrible for the 2nd time. Never again the staff were so unhelpful and miserable. They could not have got a simple meal more wrong if they had tried. I look forward to KFC closing and something good replacing it.
John Lucas, Sun 6 Oct 2013
Went to KFC ... Service appalling... I wanted to order for me and my friend at the same time so that meals would be served together as we were taking them away... BUT wanted to pay separately.... So 2 8 piece boneless meals ordered... But to pay separately. EASY RIGHT.... WRONG!!!!!1. Lady went off and came back with 1 bargain bucket with 8 chicken on the bone only... ( we said that's not what we ordered we just want 2 8 piece boneless box!!!!2. So then she said oh right ok that will be 27.99..... Right we said but we want to pay separately don't we!!!!!! Can't you pay all together she said er no we want to pay separately... So at this point she called the manager over to ask how we could pay separately..... So he took my 20 pound and gave me the change and took my friends 20 pound and gave her,her change. Sorted.. WRONG.3. The lady was busy packing our order up.... Phew finally after 20 minutes order ready....WRONG4. She gave us both our bags so we just peered in quickly to make sure everything was in there....Popcorn missing on both.... So we waited another 5 minutes while they were being cooked.... Food getting cold... Finally she brings them over...... But she forgot our 2 bottles of Pepsi.... Sauces which she asked what we wanted at the beginning..... I wouldn't mind if this was the first time our order has been wrong but it seems to happen all the time at the stop 24 KFC....Poor customer service...

Popped into to the coffee shop after friends told us they do great coffee and a lovely breakfast, wow spot on service is fantastic and coffee is excellent and the breakfast is tops, will be telling other friends to go there for breakfast and coffee and its a really good price. :)
Kevin lancefeild, Mon 29 Jul 2013
went to the service station today as was travelling to france so this was a stop off. was looking for wimpy as I had not been to one for ages but was told that it had now been changed to a burger bar. well the disappointment in that was going make me go to KFC but after talking to the lady in the white shirt she assured me that their burgers were just as good if not better. then asked a recommendation I was told to try the burger with pineapple as it was a tropical and with the heat we are having then it be a nice one. after much intrepidation I tried one and I must say that me and my husband was very impressed with our burgers and also the whole meal. I would like to say a thank you to the lady in the white shirt and I will be returning when we come back.

We went to the Coffee shop wow what lovely staff we were greeted with a nice smile customer service is spot on and very helpful,We had breakfasts and they was cooked beautifully we was made to feel very welcome and our children where made to feel welcome.Really nice enviroment really nice staff if only other places where like this,we asked for their names they were Tracy and Sam a credit to the company :) We will make this a regular visit.
John,Donna and kids, Tue 25 Jun 2013
We went to the burger bar,the burgers were lovely but the staff have a bad attitude the Scottish woman was just leaning against a wall and didnt want to serve, so we was eventually served by a girl with a pinched mouth and she had no customer service skills at all and really couldnt be bothered think the company need to change their staff,We wont be going back to the burger bar!!!!

Latest on the Petrol Station. It is open 24 hours and the telephone numberis 01303 230 192. If in doubt give them a call.
Algernon Black, Mon 11 Mar 2013
Any idea when the petrol station will reopen? Totally inconvenient being closed for so long.

Great to see the lady with the red hair back in the coffee shop, she makes a blinding coffee she is allways happy and smiling excellent customer service,(shame about all the other staff that work in there they should try smiling)anyway we will coming back here more often now, compliments to the lady with the red hair great to see her back.
Thomas Giles, Sat 29 Dec 2012
Nothing there, not worth stopping. Spoke to a manager of one of the food outlets still in place and problem seems to be that owners keep putting in more food spots so others can't make a living and they charge high rents. Shame really but had big turnover of places, eat, Starbucks, a muffin place, a convenience store, are just a few. Apparently even more likely to close in new year. Think this place needs to do something to appeal to locals cos as a service station it's a complete waste of time.
Andy Harman, Sun 23 Dec 2012
Service area is crap, hardly any shops, toilets dirty,as mentioned no fuel for sale, would avoid at all costs.
Skidded on ice in the car park this morning, smashed up front end of my car(was in the car park, so not going more than 10mph)duty managers response was basically unlucky mate, not our problem, i should of been driving responsably, surely they should ensure that customers visting the area, and on private property should be safe and secure.
dean, Wed 12 Dec 2012
Pulled off the M20 here as I always do to refuel before using the channel tunnel. Only to find the fuel station closed. Why would a major service station close it's entire fuel station? When is this due to reopen? Will it still be a Shell?
Matt, Tue 4 Dec 2012
I can only echo Chris D's comments (3/11/12). We always stop at this station for Shell fuel on way to and from Eurotunnel and the experience has been mixed in the past. On more than one occasion there's been no V Power fuel available.... But on 30 Nov as we got to within 1/2 mile of the exit on the M20 there was a small sign saying 'no fuel at services'. In fact there's nothing at all here and, like Chris, we were left trawling the area for an open Shell station. With notice we could have fuelled at Maidstone without having to re-trace our route. What exactly is the plan for this site?? Will it re-open? Will it sell fuel?
Vicky, Mon 3 Dec 2012
A DISASTER darling!! Why would anyone stop here? It's called Stop 24, you think that means its open 24 hours but it doesn't seem open during day and its definitely not open at night. When it was built I thought it would be really useful to use late nights (I live just down the road) but apart from KFC there is nothing there at all now, used to go for tea to really good deli cafe but that now shut so no point going there at all. This seems doomed just like its neighbor the racecourse which has shut down. The owners only have themselves to blame by having stupid signs off motorway saying early port arrivals rather than service signs, no one knows what that means or what's there so no marketing done at all and no trying to attract locals at all.
Andy Harman, Wed 7 Nov 2012
Stopped a couple of weeks ago to fill up with fuel as closest service station to the tunnel on route that I could use my fuel card at (as All star doesnt work on continent) was amazed to find the petrol station completely closed and looking like a building site. Why oh Why isnt there any signs on the motorway saying this? The first I knew was when I pulled off at the junction and saw a small sign.Would have filled up at Maidstone if I'd known, but instead had to trawl round Folkestone at 5am looking for somewhere open!
Chris D., Sat 3 Nov 2012
Nothing really there, nobody stops, toilets broken and dirty, a few foreign lorry drivers, long wait to get things to eat cos everything cooked to order, lots of shop units closed down or not open, petrol station shut. Reckon this must be on its last legs.
G g graham, Fri 2 Nov 2012
Hi Janet. We did check CCTV for you and we did find that you did leave the service station for a couple of minutes and in this time there were five other customers that entered the ladies toilets, any one of these people could have picked up the phone. Unfortunately if you leave items of value in public areas there is a very good chance someone will take it. We do get a lot of items handed in by members of the public but unfortunately on this occasion that was not the case.
Jason, Mon 15 Oct 2012
Hi Jason I visited the services on 6th october at 4 40pm I left my phone in one of the cubicles I stood out side toilets watching the big screen waiting for my husband to come out one lady went into the toilets and one of your male cleaners went in as well while I was standing outside I realised i had left my phone and went to look for it i spoke to the lady as she was coming out her husband tried to ring my phone but had no signal I then spoke to the cleaner who was not very helpful, told me if i had left it there I won,t see it again I also spoke to a plumber who was working on one of the front toilets/cubicles he very kindly opened 2 toilets that were locked that had not been locked before, this phone had photos of my grandchildren taken the same day all my contacts please can you ask again as my network provider keeps saying that it is no longer available the phone is a L.G. 500 in a black leather case when opened it shows a picture of a native american indian i was out side so know they were the only 2 people that went in I also asked at the desks opposite many thanks jan holcombe (biggs)
janet biggs, Sun 7 Oct 2012
My husband was rushed into hospital last week, and as I am disabled i asked for help in filling my car with lpg. Although the shell garage makes a big deal on having assistance available for filling cars with fuel, it seems the staff are not allowed to use lpg as it is against health and safety rules.I get it, its not safe for staff to use the lpg pump, but any jo bloggs can use it (as long as they are not disabled). I'll just wait till my husband gets out of hospital, shall I?

I have been to many services all over the country and I would say it's not the best I have seen but it's not bad at all and well worth a visit.
dave, Tue 17 Jul 2012
Great services, one of the best i have seen so had to leave a comment on this, well done.
Linda, Fri 15 Jun 2012
Great services, first visit and very impressed with how tidy everything is.
Tony, Thu 15 Mar 2012
As soon as you enter the services, there is an immediate problem. There are signs for cars, trucks and coaches. Nothing for caravans. If you are a caravanner, and you take the car route, you will either decapitate your van as all of the entrances are height restricted and at the end, there is a nasty very caravan unfriendly sharp turn.If you park elsewhere, the signs say that if you are not the designated vehicle, you will be charged. There should be a sign on the motorway saying caravans not welcome!
We left in a hurry and vowed never to return. Thank goodness for the Leeds Castle services!
Geoff, Tue 3 Jan 2012
It's been a while since I visted this services and they now have a few more shops, supermarket very good prices, Wimpy and new coffee shop. If you have never been it's worth a visit.
Stuart Dale, Sun 18 Dec 2011
I am the cleaning manager of Stop24 Services and it seems to me you have made a mistake as we do not have a Katie working for us and none of our cleaners wear name badges.I would not tolerate any cleaner speaking to any member of the public in this way.
Jason VernonCleaning manager Stop24 Services
Jason, Wed 7 Dec 2011
hiya
i was in the gents toilets and i was washing my hands and one of your toilet cleaners (she had a name badge on,... her name was KATIE BANNISTER) gave me and my son a load of aggro because we had left a bit of soap around the sink,... she was swearing and causing a right commotion....... i live within the shepway district council area and i am sure that i have seen this woman in the past working as a toilet cleaner for the council. i hope you have a word with this woman and replace her as soon as possible,... please do not email me,... i would just expect an apology on here from the management!! thank you.
andy warwick, Fri 2 Dec 2011
I arrived at the services with my husband and the kids and found to my amazement the services were extremely clean. There were plenty of people there including a large group of kids so when going to the toilet I expected them to be well used but they were pristine which is a big thumbs up from me and my husband said the same thing for the gents toilets. I will come back again
Sharon, Fri 4 Nov 2011
Love this place, will be coming back
phil, Fri 4 Nov 2011
Driving back from Germany and getting pretty hungry i thought i would hold on until i got to these services as they had a nice KFc, I arrived at 9:30 to find everything closed except WH Smiths
Whats the point of naming it 24/7 if nothings open
ian, Wed 11 May 2011
Great place to stop off. Lots of room to sit down and the services are so clean. Staff was very nice and they seemed happy. i will return again soon.
Alex, Sat 5 Mar 2011
I call in the services all the time now as the toilets are always in good clean condition which is very inportant for me. I often see the cleaners buzzing around making sure everything is kept up so just wanted to say well done and keep the good work up.
Gina Gilles, Fri 28 Jan 2011
This is my first time coming here and i'm pleased to say I will be coming back. Friendly atmosphere nice and clean.I did want to eat out at Burger KIng but they don't have one but they do have a KFC which we enjoyed all the same.

This is my first time at this motorway services and i will visit this place again. The place is very clean and the toilets are 1st class. Not many shops so I hope this will change in the future. Clair

The truck park and customs clearance facility will be open in spring 2011. Construction is underway now.The truckpark and customs clearance facility will be operated by ChannelPorts Ltd. (www.channelports.co.uk) Channelports also operate the foreign exchange facility in the terminal building under the name Xchange.
Chris Childs, Wed 15 Dec 2010
like this place and it seems there is a lot of new shops and new lorry park on its way.

While visiting stop24 I felt that all staff were very friendly and enjoyed the bacon stick very much. I would recommend stop24 as a great place to stop off for a break.

Arrived at this Services on Sunday and had myself a Bacon sandwich from breakfast break, just like home cooking I loved it. Nice place. Chris
Chris Summersby, Sun 17 Oct 2010
I was on my way back from france and needed a break so stopped at stop24. To my surprise I really liked it. The staff seemed very friendly and the place was very clean. The toilets I could not fault the best I have seen for a services. Just needs a few more shops
stuart dale, Tue 12 Oct 2010
We have been using the facilities since opening specialy the fuel station and LPG and find them ok price wise compared to most MW services. Could do eith the price on the web site to park a Motorhome overnight. We are traveling Thursday the 30th Sept' so need to park Wed night, I rang and got a answerphone!! Staff first class never had any dealings with the carpark attendants so no comment.
Dennis
dennis Llewellyn, Sat 25 Sep 2010
What a let down .No where for us to park the motor home .very rude car park employee who threatened to clamp us even though we explained we where to long and tall to use the car parking places.welcome back to the UK
phil, Mon 6 Sep 2010
Hi once again off to France for a break stopped off for the usual breakfast still good food and still at the same price and the staff have a good sense of humour at this early hour. the toilets were especially clean and tidy.will see you all on the way back.
Jim N Ethel, Wed 1 Sep 2010
The Administrator of this website should update their records. Eat, Starbucks, Muffin Break and Burger King aren't there and the so called tourist information is a gift shop for Howletts Zoo!!
Dave, Fri 16 Apr 2010
I see Burger King has gone! Surely it's just a matter of time before this place closes altogether. How can these shops make a decent living with hardly anyone visiting this facility? That's about half a dozen shops opened and closed now in 2 years!
Gary, Fri 16 Apr 2010
I arrived at stop24 early in the morning, and went and had a massive breakfast which I really enjoyed, and afterwards I went to the toilets which were extremely clean and tidy, on my way out I grabbed a takeaway latte, but I am a Starbucks fan, but this easily matched it. Highly recommend both of these establishments.
Jamie, Sun 28 Mar 2010
There is a bureau de Change called Xchange open in the centre. Web addresswww.24xchange.com
Chris Childs, Mon 15 Mar 2010
We have just come back from our top up booze run and stopped over at stop24, half term so quite busy there but we had the usual breakfast at breakfast break, same good quality but Starbucks has closed apparantly as part of a UK stratagy, not that we were ever fans of their coffee, but there is a new coffee lounge opened up, so we had a go and i have to say that i have never tasted such a smooth latte, and served with an Ameretto biscuit, class stuff & the staff looked very smart with bow ties and all. gives us another place to visit so see you all in a couple of months time.
Jim & Ethel, Thu 18 Feb 2010
Lyndons comment about cravans not being welcome also applies to trucks! The limited truck parking is nowhere near the facilities and it costs £20 to park there for the night with no showers, shops or restaurant in that area. I used to stop briefly in the coach area which was always empty and get a KFC (better than Seafeance drivers grub) and a few new CDs/DVDs from HMV (now long gone, not suprising really) before shipping out from UK. Not anymore since I was threatened with wheel clamping and fines.
Rod, Fri 12 Feb 2010
Poor signage, hardly any lights on in the loo's and Starbucks has shut down!
James, Sat 30 Jan 2010
Went to stop24 on sat great farmers market, lots to choose from, had fish n chips at breakfast break, real chunky chips great value once again, nice bunch of guys. new money exchange opened up, still faily busy, call again in the spring
Jim & Ethel, Thu 17 Dec 2009
At the weekend I went to these services to find a farmers market on. I found this quite unusual, but yet managed to get round the lot buying jam by the barrel. I also stopped at breakfastbreak and had a bacon roll, which was extremely nice, and also saw there mascot a breakfast bear which I think is a great idea for the children. I live local so next time will bring the kids. I also hope there will be more farmers markets on.
Nicola Hawkes, Wed 26 Aug 2009
Once again I have taken my family out for a quick lunch at breakfastbreak, my husband had a massive full english breakfast (Excellent quality) and I had a gorgeous yorkshire pudding filled with meat, veg and great roast potatoes. My son was given a great choice from the brekki bear picnic kids meal. Rolls, cheese, mini chedders, fubes, cakes, chocolate, raisons and fruit. what more you can you ask for in a service station brilliant!
J Watt, Mon 24 Aug 2009
Great place, very busy, I went to K.F.C and now reading these comments I wish i had tried Breakfast break becuse the food looked amazing and unlike K.F.C the staff where happy.
Martin Young, Sun 23 Aug 2009
I went into the services on wednesday and it was immaculate. It was around 7am and surprising busy. The only place open was breakfast bar, KFC and burger king were shut along with everything else. I found that the customer service at the breakfast bar was fantastic, service with a smile. And highly professional uniforms. The Breakfast was high quaility for what I would expect of a sevice station. Would eat there again! The facilities were extremely clean. But It would be great if WHSmiths was open in the morning so I could grab my morning paper. Will be coming here in the future!
Edward Vandertramp, Fri 14 Aug 2009
Been in today, really busy but still nice and clean, had our usual breakfast still up to standard nice man served it to us in the picnic area, first time ive had waiter service at these places. be silver service next. keep up the good work
jim n ethel, Thu 6 Aug 2009
With regard the food poisoning comment we have invited the customer to respond to us as it an allegation we take very seriously. and need to verify that it was our outlet. We have checked that all our procedures were followed and that the Environmental health are happy with our investigation. To date the customer has not responded
J.Adams, Mon 20 Jul 2009
Very bad breakfast at the new breakfast place - solid eggs, burnt toast, almost raw sausage. The other facilities are very good and clean but very quiet.
Sussexpete, Wed 24 Jun 2009
had a breakfast at the new britishbreakfast and had food poisoning for 4 days not recommended
skilton, Wed 10 Jun 2009
Well we have been again and its a lot livelier with a new breakfast place opened up, AT 6AM we tried it of corse very nice better than the average motorway services, freashly cooked. toilets still immaculate seems to be on the up. will call again
Jim And Ethel, Wed 13 May 2009
have been before and went in again today, very busy the area was clean, toilets excellent more shops open now and a cash machine is on site. nice place to relax and unwind before going on the ferry. will certainly visit again
Jim and ethel, Thu 4 Sep 2008
Stop 24, is a total waste of time, space, money. whoever decided a service station next door to the channel tunnel or 20 mins away from Dover would work, needs their head examining. The only positive is the big shell station on site!
Redders, Mon 1 Sep 2008
Superb Motorway Service Centre. OK it's not really 24 hours, apart from fuel. Good food & good shops BUT needs proper Motorway signage. Martin
Martin Turner, Sun 31 Aug 2008
STOP24 Junction 11 M20Wonderful facility but no proper Motorway Services signage on the Motorway, Why ??Regards.
Surprisingly, Stop24 Services at Folkestone has absolutely NO parking for caravans. This seems a strange omission when you consider how many caravans are using the channel crossings during the summer months. The site is new, so this omission would seem to be deliberate rather than historical accident.
So if you are towing a caravan, you are clearly not welcome at Stop24 - I suggest you take your custom to Maidstone instead.
Lyndon Wigmore, Thu 28 Aug 2008
Is this really an MSA? It's not open 24 hours a day. Your pages advertise the fact it has cash machines, a bureau de change, a picnic area and tourist information - these facilities are not in there and I don't think the hotel will be ready late 2008 as nothing's been started yet!
Phil, Mon 19 May 2008
What a complete waste of money. The site is being advertised as having cash machines, a bureau de change, no picnic area and no tourist information - no hotel either. Don't bother going! It can't be classed as an MSA as it's not open 24 hours - and it's only half full (if that) with shops.
Phil, Sat 17 May 2008
VERY quiet services - 2 other people in there at lunchtime. Probably because there's nothing there - no staff, no customers, nothing. Should have carried on to Eurotunnel as it's only another 5 mins down the line
Andy, Thu 17 Apr 2008
