Photo submission terms

1. Photos must be your own work. Please do not upload photos copied from anywhere else.
2. You agree to publish your photo under a Creative Commons CC-BY 4.0 licence. This means that we can use it without any payment to you, and you cannot withdraw your permission for us to use it.

Photo guidelines

We're looking for good quality photos that will give travellers an idea of what they will find here. This includes photos of the buildings, the main entrance, the food court, any special features, etc.

Try to avoid photos where people or vehicles are the primary subject of the image. Obviously, a service area is a public place, so people and vehicles in the background of a photo are fine or as part of a general shot of the facilities. But you shouldn't include close-ups of identifiable individuals. Or close-ups of buses. Or trucks.

We prefer photos in landscape orientation rather than portrait, because that tends to suit buildings better. But if there's a particular feature which is better photographed in portrait, that's fine.

Photos should be in full colour and not excessively Photoshopped or AI modified. It's fine to adjust the colour balance a bit, or crop out something you don't want in the photo. But don't go overboard on the effects.

Try to avoid uploading photos which are essentially the same as ones we've already got for this service area, unless yours is either much better or much more recent!
