Reading services

Markers and coordinates are typically either the main facilities building or the fuel station, or sometimes the approach road to the service area. In some cases, where our circular tuits haven't yet been topped up, it might be the middle of the motorway. The choice of which to use isn't always consistent - we are trying to clean this up, but it's a slow process.

Grid references and encoded location values are calculated from the coordinates we have in the database, so they may not necessarily match those advertised by the services operator or those on other websites.
